I like to do a head count now and then to make sure they are all here and the easiest way to do it is when their little automatic door opens and they go out one at a time. Yesterday I didn’t feel like waiting for auto and hit the manual button. I swear they looked at me and said “can’t fool me, it’s not 8 o’clock yet” and they just stood there.

It’s been a good year here at Chickenopolis Farms and for those upwind and upstream from us.

I have never seen a chicken which could fly as high as a barn roof or the top of a silo.

You have to count your chickens before they hatch, because the IRS taxes you on inventory.

And one lucky, and very busy, rooster.

Especially if you have to feed them.
