He HAS to say it. None of us who knows anything about him would otherwise think he was very cool with that!

Calvin looks like an old man in the last panel.

I remember being so surprised at how small a tooth was when it fell out. It felt a lot bigger inside my mouth. And the gap it made felt enormous, until I looked in the mirror.

Will Hobbes be the “tooth fairy”??

Too bad it wasn’t Moe that took out his tooth!!!!

By the time mine came out, I had gotten completely used to them being loose, and thus not really part of my head.

At least it’s a part that grows back, and better at that. The brain… Not so sure. (Trying to find one of the “my brain fell out/ran away” strips.)

Come on, Calvin! That couldn’t have been your first baby tooth!

Well, Cal. Look at it this way. If it is hard, shiny, and white, it’s a tooth. If it is pasty and gray, it is brain matter. Either way it might be normal for you.

Haha… Calvin is growing up before our eyes.

There’s been times Calvin’s lucky his whole HEAD wasn’t being held in his hands!!

Teeth are bad enough, but wait till when you’ve had wisdom teeth out and shards of BONE start working their way up through the gum!

Ha ! With all the gross stuff he does, and the gross things he calls his dinner, I’m shocked.

You’d be totally “uncomfortable” holding a piece of your own head while in combat.

I had crowded teeth right up to the age of 30 and anyone who’s been there knows how painfully self conscious l was.

I then had to have a molar removed due to route canal work and so l asked for 3 more molars to be removed so l could finally get them fixed with braces.

Many people take ‘smiling’ for granted.

Ain’t that a kick in the head…

It can take a long time, but eventually all the pieces fall off.

But the money you’ll get from the tooth fairy after you put it under your pillow when you go to bed will make the eerie, uncomfortable experience worth it!!

I guess that’s one way to look at it

And I’m very uncomfortable with this comic.

Fun fact: humans are born with ALL the teeth they will ever have pre-installed into their jaws in two separate rows, top and bottom.

Every now and then, it’s nice to come across a strip you’ve never seen before. They are so far and few between.

It would be Calvin who would look at it from that perspective. On the other hand, what does he think when he blows his nose? Or goes to the bathroom?

Think of the existential crisis he must have every time he has to flush the toilet.

If you gave him a shrunken head from someone else, he would be fascinated by it. LOL! This kid.

All this big steenky evolution and still we creatures no evolve to has new teeths every time old one goes off.

I never thought about it like that. Probably dna in a tooth.

I remember when I was eating a banana at Calvin’s age and I bit something hard and spit it out, yeah it was a tooth lol
