Well, at least Sam knocked him out cold.

Like Firestrike, I was hoping Totten would go out with a Brow-style impalement … Brow on a flagpole, Totten on a clock hand. Of course, we never really saw exactly what Sam did to bring Totten down. Very noble (and characteristic) of Tracy to prioritize calling in the bomb squad first, before receiving aid for himself. That’s why he’s a hero. Happy Super Sunday, everyone!

I see we have a missing panel here. We get the before, Sam wind up, which then goes right to aftermath. What happened to the “moment of impact” panel ?  Team Tracy illustrator department strikes another home run with 5 + 1 luscious panels. P.2 shows how much Freddie boy enjoys his ‘work’.

Funny timing about password advice. I’ve just been writing about that. Use a mix of upper and lower case letters, digits and symbols. Make your password random and don’t use recognizable, guessable words or patterns. Make them at least 12 characters long, but 30 is better. Use a password manager you can trust, and always make sure you’ve printed out your passwords and store them in a safe place you can get at if you need to. Finally, don’t use the same password for more than one account. Lastly finally, ignore all this advice, because you’ll probably fall for a phishing scam and give away at least one account for your bank, credit card or Amazon by the end of the month.

Crimestoppers tip: Change your passwords at least every 90 days…

I’m trying to estimate how many different accounts and passwords I have: doctors, banks, Amazon, eBay, GoComics, fanfiction, professional sites, etc. etc. Each has its own protocols for what is necessary for an acceptable password.

Change them all every 90 days? Should this Crimestoppers tip seem meaningful to you (it doesn’t to me) I have a suggestion. Write them all clearly on Post-It Notes™ and stick them on your monitor to remind yourself of the new password. Don’t risk getting locked out!

The art and action in today’s strip are both excellent. Tracy looks like the Black Knight in the final frame. And he will need a new fedora..

1- DAZED AND (PERENNIALLY) CONFUSED SAM: Gotta fix the clock. Somebody forgot to put this on…

2- FRED: How do you like my “man-musk”, Tracy? I rarely shower and NEVER use deodorant – even though it was invented by a Nazi chemist!

3- LEE: Totten? Are you up there? Come down if you are.

4- FRED: Up there? Up where??? Crazy wench-face! We’re at the top of the tower already… SAM: LET MY PEOPLE GO, TOTTEN! sound a watermelon makes when dropped to the street from the 5th floor

This is an excellent Sunday page. Good action. Good artwork. Good coloring. Too bad we had to live through several months of small talk and boredom before we got to action that jumps off of the page. The artwork by Charles saves the day. It seems to jump off of the page.

You could say Sam “Clocked” him Or he got his Clock cleaned, either way, the hands of time finally caught up to him.

Great action, today! Love panel 2! I still think Junior will end up going out through the clock face and crashing to his death. It’s just too good a set-up for that not to happen.

I am absolutely thrilled with the last panel. Look at Sam standing over Junior . Sam’s not done yet .

I have to say that this is the best collaboration between Eric, Charles and Shane, today’s very much a graphic novel feel which many of us have commented on as a criticism. I have to say I would be interested in a Dick Tracy graphic novel from them because the Mad Cave Dick Tracy does nothing for me, as soon as I saw the previews for it I didn’t like it. Drawn in a very Brutalist style inspired by Frank Miller which everybody seems to rip off badly and think they style will be successful for them.

you know what I would like to see in the new GoComics?…

that they would do something about getting repeat notifications that I’ve already read… and sometimes they return in mass quantities… I get tired of xing out all the notifications that I’ve already seen and read… getting almost 100 notifications and having to go through them to see which ones are new and which a repeats are a major pain-in-the-ass…

that’s MY biggest beef…

and I’m not known for having that…
