Ellen!! It has been forever! It is good to see her again!

Finally, an appearance from Ellen! Better than Jenny appearing offscreen last week.

Since I’m homeschooled and don’t have homework, my dad appreciates my doodles and he’s never dismissive of them. He also doesn’t leave me out of special dinners like pizza, and I only miss out on them when I really can’t join. A much less harsh dad than Nate’s dad! May Mr. Wright’s pizza have a lot of hot sauce, enough to burn off his taste buds

Am I the only person in the world who actually finds liver tasty? I had ox liver and jollof rice for supper last night and found it quite delicious.

Ah ha you can never get enough of that Nate/Marty dynamic. It’s been around since the beginning of the strip and it’s here to stay. Love it.

When I was a kid (1950s), there wasn’t any pizza place in the town or burger joint or any kind of family restaurant. There was a seedy bar that served food, but dad was a teetotaler, so I only heard rumors.
