By animals, she likely meant vertebrate animals – especially like mammals and birds. (And among birds and mammals, probably mostly traditional pet-type birds and mammals.)

She also likes that funny “walk into a spider web” dance.

Bet the test results would be a lot better if the spider had timed his drop to hit a little earlier… like below the lips and a bit further down.

MaMa was deathly scared of them and PaPa decided he was finally gonna prove that a granddaddy long legs wouldn’t hurt her… just as she was get’n a cast iron skillet of corn bread out of the oven. I heard two screams… second one very MALE. Then the screen door came of the hinges as PaPa leaped off the back porch… MaMa and her skillet “hot” on his tail. She proved to him that granddaddy long legs WILL hurt you.

I think what the spider really said was, “I can’t go on anymore. This world is too cruel. Tell mom I loved her..”
