Elizabeth traditionally wears formless, shapeless shirts with baggy pants. Frankly, she needs to be wearing something new.
However, I do love to see the way that Elizabeth’s mouth is open so wide it dominates her entire face as she screams. She is growing up to be just like her mother. Elly has to be so proud.
I don’t know of any guys who were so paralyzed by the thought of what to wear (or not to wear) that they couldn’t get dressed in the morning for school. Apparently this is a teen-aged girl issue?
Both of my daughters put great thought into their first-day outfits when they were in high school. I had no say: my older daughter’s Godmother took them both shopping every year. (Incidentally, they both have great taste in clothing.)
Hmmm. I couldn’t wait to wear my new stuff. I wore a uniform k-8 so it was exciting to get to wear real clothes. My mom liked uniforms better. It was cheaper and easier.
Liz should just put on some old jeans (faded and/or ripped) and an old blouse/t-shirt (with the bra on!). That should cover it for the first day, anyway. Schools in Canada might or might not have a dress code, but in America it’s the norm for schools that I’ve seen here in suburbia.
Ah yes, the endless beauty contest of life in school, no worries kids, it only gets more ridiculous when you move into the working world, at least in office jobs !
This will probably stir up a hornet’s nest. But from seeing (and hearing) the kids’ whining, it makes one want to reconsider having uniforms for school.
And this is why school uniforms in private schools are such a great thing. Nobody has to worry about what to wear every morning, and nobody needs to fear a put down because their sneakers aren’t as cool or as pricey as the next kids. And any outsider with bad intentions would instantly stand out.

If you don’t know what to wear, I’d recommend clothes.

Ugh… Why are girls always so picky over what they wear on the first day of school?

This is why you choose what to wear the night before and have it ready for the morning.

I remember my mom telling me about my dad’s reaction when she showed him my sister’s so-called “training bra”….

Teenagers impose a more stringent dress code upon themselves than any private school or military academy.
