I wonder if now a few sparks will fly… or is Piro completely uninterested in Luann?

It’s too bad they switched to this arc… Bets was clearly about to take a swing at Tiff. LOL

Will Piro ask Luann about the letter? I’m sure he’s curious why Bernice never replied.

I’m just glad the dorm drama didn’t last for a whole month or more this time. But even so, these arcs with Luann (or any other characters for that matter) are treated more like 2-week intermissions during the ongoing dorm drama.

Wait a minute we’re due for two more weeks of misery with Tiffany and Bets and the shadow of Gunther!

Also, only one romance at a time. We haven’t milked “Kipany” to the full extent yet!

So, we just drop the whole bets-gunther thing now?

Just because Luann and Piro each have a piece entered into a literary fair doesn’t mean that these two are commanded to be or do things together….. as Luann might think. Piro will just matter-of-factly get up and walk out of the class when it is over without even looking at Luann or anyone. Conversely, Luann will think this is some fantastic conversation topic that she has to share with him.

Looks like we’ve reached the climactic point where there’s no path forward except for the character to make a consequential decision. So… look forward to a plot pivot on Monday where we go back to Luann and her writing class assignments. Ugh, homework! What a drag!

No response from Bernice?

G&K drop the Betts and Tiff arc and move on to Luann Writing assignments.

Piro looked bored when named for his Dramatist piece pick. Did he perk up when he heard Luann being picked for Humor piece? Guess we will never know…we only know Luann perked up.

Has LuAnn forgotten that she used. Piro’s interview as kindling for her bodice ripper?

Somehow I don’t think Pirouette will want attention from either.

I’m disappointed—I was hoping that last week’s arc would continue.So, instead of the interesting characters, we’re back to the dull, clueless “heroine”.

This pretty much adds credence to what some of Us have been saying for some time.

That Luann and Piro should be attending Mooney U with Tiffany and Company.

Why?

Well, if Piro would like a source for a REAL “dramatic story,” then Luann should introduce him to her old pal Gunther.

Because what’s about to happen to him soon, shouldn’t happen to Luann’s dog.

So we’ve left Bets a dangling participle…

I wanted to see Tiff take a “swing” at Kip (if you know what I mean). The looks were there.

Despite all her troubles, Luann’s talent for comedy writing is more and more appreciated. So much that she’s now one of Mrs. Horner’s class representatives, together with Piro! Go Luann!!! Shows everyone your skills and make them all laugh! I’m sure Piro will be impressed and start taking an interest in her. This Spring Fair has suddenly become the place where at least two major narrative arcs will meet (maybe three, if Bernice decides to have that date with Piro during it, maybe four if Tiffany manages to bring together Al, Irma, Gunther and Bets during it). This is so cool! But that girl in the shadows in the first panel looks menacing…

Would like to have seen a bit more of the Bets and Tiffany banter.

And in the category of Advice and Entrepreneurship, our most Beloved Ann❤️Eiffel for her book “How to Succeed in Financial and Egotistical Security Without Even Trying”. Stef, Tiff and now hawt Bets are successful students. Next: hawt Toni will dump Brad the tool and move on to bigger and better bank accounts like all really smart women following the Ann❤️Eiffel template. Most successful women do. Think about it…

Luann, your ego is starting to show.

So we have left Bets to her thoughts for now. She could use a little respite.

Once again we take up the gauntlet of Piro, Luann and Bernice in the milieu of the writing class. Unless I am mistaken, we have yet to see the content of The Letter. We have no idea where the relationship between Piro and Bernice stands, except that Bern was jealous of the content with Luann and refused to let her see it.

Luann’s obvious primping implies that she is interested in this Piro fella, being prodded in her pursuits by Tara.

I wonder if GnK are providing us with a broad hint as to the direction of this coming episode???

Maybe it will all come together at the Fair since that is where Tiff is going to sell “her” tea.

Do not forget, Mrs. Horner was involved in Luann’s life earlier as next door neighbor. At one point she tried to set up Luann and Gunther as an item.

Luann; IF Piro is interested in you at all, I doubt sincerely that he cares about how your hair looks.

Piro doesn’t seem interested at all.

Have you all noticed every time Luann wins something it is based on “humor”. Maybe when all is said and done years from now, Luann will become a cartoonist? So all of you who keep on insulting Luann as dull and boring should be careful with their words as they may be actually insulting Karen. I have always envied authors of all types as I have no literary talent at all. It is hard to write story after story after story in a daily comic over many years as well as novel after novel. It is a god given talent which most of us do not have. Keep up the good work G&K. Maybe now we can find out what was in the letter!

A time to share?

Kinda bummed that there’s no resolution to the Bets thing, but I hope the writing fair will wrap up the plotline of Bern and Nancy getting their romance novels signed so we can see who the author is. And Piro can discuss what he wanted to tell Bernice.

Given how Piro isn’t even slightly pleased about what Mrs. Horner said, it seems like he might suffer from depression (and given his rough life). I feel like it might be a bold storyline if Greg and Karen wanted to tackle that issue. Him reaching out to Bernice who wants to be a therapist might be a potential hint at it.

It might also be a positive direction to use to make Luann more interesting and less shallow if she took Tara’s advice about not wanting to date Piro but still sees value in helping and being a supportive friend to rather than Luann viewing his depression as making him more attractive. I’d like to be hopeful of GnK to TRY something with Luann cause it’s been a while and I’ll be happy if she does something interesting.

Why would there be any romance? Luann and Piro are not going to be standing together for hours reading their works. Ms. Horner will have the writings displayed for people to read. Luann and Piro would probably not be there at all.

When you’re funny, it shines through.

I don’t see Piro and Luann getting together. Luann’s too much of a sheltered, clueless bozo who won’t be able to handle Piro’s secretive, brooding, ‘wrong side of the tracks’ persona. But as Tara said, let the hijinks begin.

I love this!!! Wacky hijinks!! Isn’t that why we are all here?

I don’t believe Tiff and Bets were anywhere near to swinging a punch or hair pulling etc. why on earth would they do that? They were having what looked to me like any animated discussion between two friends. Bets isn’t angry with Tiffany for pointing out a few things she needs to hear. She’s just frustrated with the situation with Gunther’s family and she’s venting to a good friend. Unlikely to bring on a cat fight. But if you are a guy you might not understand this.

Silly me, I misread HIJINKS as HUNKS, which struck me as a promising embarkation on a saucy story arc.

Spring Fair at Mooney University! Luann Piro Dez Tiffany Kip Bets and maybe Bernice -all in the same story line -at the same time? Wow this will be fun.

Is writing Luann’s true calling? Will Tara keep poking holes in Luann’s love life? Stay tuned?

Is Tara the only one who sees how Absurdist this turn is? Piro Starr is “dramatic” enough, in a laconic way. But Luann as “humor piece”? —Only in the sense that we laugh at, not with, her. Her writing skills are tepid on a good day….

Bring back the original Tiffany. Provocative, self confident in her attraction to the young men, and just plain “hot”, as I remember my first impression years ago
