Speaking of RETCON and regression – Brad is starting to look a bit unkempt. Nothing like his days living with Luann. But not as sharp as he has been these last couple of decades.

I remember a great Kathy cartoon: Irwin and his buddy were watching a Superbowl game: They were commening on the prior year winning play. Kathy and Irwin’s girlfriend were commenting on what they wore the last Superbowl and what they had to eat. The guys were beyond annoyed…

They didn’t meet in a CPR class. Brad was working on his car, and she knew how to fix it. There was a long sequence involving her jerky boyfriend.

It’s days like this when I get the feeling that TJ’s only purpose in the strip is to exist.

Mon Nov 27 1967, first day at work, saw a beautiful gal in green short (mini) dress: married her 4 years later. Still going strong!

Why play on outdated gender tropes? Lame.

She’s donating a “Whoopee!” dress to a charity?

Because it’s the DRESS he remembers. Who wouldn’t if Toni were wearing it?.

Hmmm, I’ve been to CPR classes. There’s a dummy on the ground and the student is on their hands and knees doing chest compressions on the dummy. I’m not sure Toni would want to be in such a position in front of a whole class in what appears to be a such a short dress.

Obviously, that dress must hold fond memories for Brad. He just can’t remember what they’re from.

I remember that meeting. How many of us remember Dirk?

So I guess the CPR class hasn’t been thrown down the Memory Hole yet. Prudence seethes in jealousy, or at least she would if she still existed.

But hey, any Brad/Toni strip free of Shannon is cause for celebration! Woo-hoo!!!

I’m amazed that Toni would recall what she was wearing the first time Brad saw her. I doubt that she would even remember the first time she met him. He is not that remarkable and would not make a lasting impression on most females.

Why would Toni get rid of that dress? It does not look old and I’m sure she still looks great in it.

PLEASE bring back Knute and Crystal! The best couple ever.

Regardless, let’s KEEP this one!

I don’t believe in the simple explanation of TJ, it seems to me that for Toni that day it’s an indelible memory. She must have liked Brad from the first moment she saw him, but she was good at pretending indifference and with a very jealous boyfriend.

Why would she wear that to CPR class?

How do we verify that?

I’ve been trying to respond to a reply, but I’m having trouble with the site. I’ll try a general comment here. First, I know some readers thought Shannon lived with B&T, but not all of us. Jonah has appeared in the strip as Shannon’s dad much more recently than 2 decades. Toni isn’t ready to have her own kids now, but I don’t recall her ever saying she didn’t want kids ever. If I’m wrong about that, can anyone point me to exactly when she said that? I don’t agree that the authors are suddenly changing facts or ignoring past happenings.

Toni is correct.

He’s safe blaming his faux pas on a faulty memory, but if it turns out that he’s remembering another girl who once wore a dress like that one, look out!

The 2024 8 and 1/2 month report: art work, a solid A. Story lines: C’s and D’s. Characters: “D”, stale, boring, and in search of an interesting story line. Most have the same common denominator….they’re not funny.

Brad does look a little rough today. I much prefer him nice and sharp and clean cut and trim. It goes well with his personal transformation just as Gunther’s updated look did for him. Please keep Brad as one of the characters we like and admire as he represents the hope that anyone, even Luann and Bernice, can change.

Maybe it’s Tony who remembers it wrong.
