Lots of good puns here. I had a real world experience related to this. When I was student teaching years ago, I decided to spruce up the classroom with various live organisms including a large female mantis. Later one of the students thought they’d add to the collection with a smaller (male) mantis. Nature took its course soon after from mating to the subsequent meal. She ate him bottom up; he saw the whole thing go down and so did the students. Talk about a learning experience!
