I like coconut cookies. :D :D :D

Snerk. Neither Spouse nor, when he lived here, Son likes macaroons. I love ’em. But store bought macaroons are BAD. Gotta be more like home made (using unsweetened coconut) and only about half as sweet.

I have to agree with the kid! No chocolate, no deal!

I hated them when I was a kid. I can tolerate them now, but they seem more like sticky candy than a cookie.

At least he asked. He is learning. Has Nelson ever tried a macaroon? If not he should at least try it and may be surprised how much he does like.

I have a childhood memory of macaroons still warm from the bakery at the end of the road. Nothing I’ve tried since compares.

I like coconut anything: Mounds bars, coconut pie, coconut ice cream, coconut chocolate chip ice cream, cookies, etc.

I bought my son and DIL a new Fiestaware cookie jar to match their set of dishes. Under the lid I added a picture of Cookie Monster.

I love coconut, Fresh, shredded, sweetened, unsweetened, toasted, etc. I grew up eating fresh coconut. Had to work really hard to break open the nut and remove the meat. Dad would make a delicious coconut caramel candy with the fresh coconut. Drank the milk as well Hubby… the opposite. He hates coconut. To him it is a waste of calories.

Those of us who find coconut irresistibly delicious may wonder whether those who can’t stand it are of the same species as we are, or are really shape-shifting Skrulls, masquerading as humans. (And vice versa, of course.)

I’ve been hearing that our country is divided, but I didn’t realize the root cause was coconut lovers versus coconut haters, as evidenced by the above comments.
