Ah, the old spy in a disguise trick.

Way to go Sophie, I see a budding haute cature designer in the making. And Tommy makes an excellent catwalk model.

Looks like Sophie is branching out into costume design. She might want to raid the kitchen for more foil if she really wants Tommy to be convincing.

OMC! Tommy and Sophie working together is adorable! :-D But what’s his shield made from? I can’t help thinking his ‘crest’ looks like a scoop of ice cream?

Tommy is the perfect choice to go undercover! And he couldn’t ask for a better handler than Sophie! She will make sure his disguise will pass muster.

I have less confidence in Tommy’s spy skills against the raccoons. Totally different personalities.

And my prognostication is that Tommy’s attempt at infiltration will end in misfortune.

We knew a cat who had a very raccoon-esque mask. If only she hadn’t been so chatty, she would’ve been the purr-fect spy!

I don’t know…Tommy is really not the James Bond type. The first belly or chin rub and he will spill all the beans. I would feel better if Tabitha or Beatrix were doing this.

My problem with the disguise is this: Isn’t Tommy already known to all the local outdoor critters? He is, after all, the quintessential cat-about-town. Well, since Kit Chase is in Gato Viejo.

In the event those Raccoons begin banging trash can lids when he shows up, what will Tommy’s reaction be? I can’t wait to find out.

Since it’s unlikely that there would still be garbage left in the can from months earlier, Goldie will have to face the unhappy fact that there are new humans in her house and they don’t want her there.

OT: I’m sure you’re all familiar with this. The new cat bed I ordered came today. I only bought one because it was a little pricey and I thought I’d see how it went over before I bought two. Samantha and Sassy are both ignoring it and are currently happily fighting over the box it came in. I have seen this in comics so many times but this is the first time it has happened to me!

I posted it above under my first comment but thought it would be worth posting on the main page too…cute as this is, raccoons are not to be messed with…they have been known to kill cats.

On a related note, just saw a news article from Nova Scotia on CNC thru Apple News about a shy and timid small dog who saw his cat housemate being attacked by raccoons and dashed to the rescue scaring off the raccoons. The cat suffered a bitten foot which he let the dog lick for comfort. Cat is recovering from the bite and dog is a hero!
