This reminds me bit of the story of Lawnchair Larry, who — after tying 43 helium inflated weather balloons to a patio chair — shot into the sky at 16,000 ft. above San Pedro, CA. He had some sandwiches and beer, a camera, and a pellet gun, which he dropped after shooting out a couple of balloons. Two commercial airliners spotted him and reported him to authorities. About an hour later, he drifted down to safety and was promptly arrested. When asked by journalists why he did it, he supposedly said, “A man can’t just sit around.”
But you is inside and the leaves is outside, Puck. You doesn’t even actually gets to touches any leaves to actually bat em. But journalist Goldie is a typical journalist who never asks the real questions that should be asked.
Pucky’s neck seems like it’s twisted pretty far without his torso following. I know kitties can lick their backs, but I don’t think their necks work quite like that. o.O
With cat-like reflexes (duh) Puck manages to keep the hoard of leaves at bay. A swing here, a swing there, and they are managed and piled high.
This ninja cat uses Kage Bushin No Jutsu (Shadow Clone Jutsu) to help dispel the shear bulk of lifeless plant matter, but he, and only he can save Konohamaru (the village hidden in the leaves) from becoming the village buried in the leaves.
Apologies to Uzumaki Naruto, and Naruto Shippuden.
I remember a long time ago, my father had a trash can specifically meant for leaf burning. A cold front moved through this morning, and it is murky, damp with a new chill in the air. I am having a flashback to those early November days and the smell of leaf burning in our old neighborhood.
Quick update. Still not feeling well. Temperatures up and down during the day. Still fatigued. Not eating much (still not really hungry), but did have a bit yesterday. First COVID test came back normal. Second one scheduled for Thursday late morning. Will continue updating as things progress.
Momcat Mora started having contractions again this morning. They think she might be trying to deliver a stillborn kitten. Auntie Shiner has an appointment with the Dreaded V.E.T. today, & Mora (who I suspect would have gone along anyway for moral support, since they’re both so feral & so bonded) is going along to get checked out.
Meanwhile, the 3 littles are in the Kitteh-Bake Oven™ keeping warm & safe. Stay tuned…
Cats are “hard-wired” to stop moving objects. Some are “wired” harder than others. I had a cat in my lap one day and was absently fiddling with my ring of keys in one hand (NOT jingling). She opened one eye and put a paw on my hand. It clearly meant “stop that”. (Stop trolling me)

To put it another way,
Some individuals who are in the wrong place, at the wrong time, naturally become Heroes.

Queen Catshepsut the Golden: I see you have brought the season’s first pumpkin spice harvest, my Royal Procurers.
Alice-Ata: Yes we bring you spices from you don’t want to know.
Puckmosis: I notice there are some leaves with the boxes.
The Queen: They seem to be native to the region where the spices are procured.
Puckmosis:I always get the urge to chase after them.
Enter Elvis-Anum
Elvis-Anum: Those things can be dangerous, Puck! Let me take them. I’ll dispose of them properly.
Alice-Ata: Of course Elvis wouldn’t be keeping those leaves for himself.

The falling leaves drift by the window
The autumn leaves of red and gold
I see you there, swat them and hissing
The sun-burned ears you used to fold
Since I asked you why, the days grow long
And soon, I’ll hear old winter’s song
But we won’t miss the fun of all, my Pucky
When autumn leaves start to fall

He’s into superstitions
Black cats and mousey dolls
I feel a premonition
That cat’s gonna make leaves fall
He’s into new sensations
New kicks towards leaves flight
He’s got a new addiction
For every day and night
He’ll make you jump at the windows and go pouncing at leaves in vain
He’ll make you live his crazy life, but he’ll take away your pain
Like a bullet to your brainCome on!
Upside, inside out
He’s leafin’ la vida Puck-ah
He’ll push and pull leaves down
Leafin’ la vida Puck-ah
His eyes are devil green
And his fur’s the color dark-ah
He will wear you out
