This is simply and perfectly adorable.

Foxy likes head, chin and lower back scritches but tolerates only about thirty seconds of brushing (which she needs liek woah) before WHACK BITE.

Sunday Funday

Bagheera often made rounds to make sure his People were all where they were supposed to be, though head bumps were optional. Meanwhile, Blossom tended to do what Elvis does, though without the hissing. I miss that little brat and her less bratty big brothers, LOL.

My sweet Milo (of blessed memory, gone two years now, shown at left), gave the most ardent head butts, especially late at night on the desktop. I miss him every day.♥

Only one of my cats, Tartu, likes to head bump me. He does it constantly. So very loving.

Our Yoshi gives us head bumps every morning and if we are sleeping in he will give us head bumps at the time we should be up waking us up.

I gave up trying to figure out a cats need for affection if you could call it that

We have 2 canines and 2 felines who all get along famously. I am the dogs best friend and a good friend to one of the cats, Raven.

The other cat, Misty, however, I am her personal possession.

Some times I joke that we have 2 canine dogs and one feline dog. Misty follows me around where ever I go. I would love to get head bumps. What I get is a general mauling. If I’m at my desk working she has to interrupt my work, lay on my chest and receive one of her many daily pettings. Eventually she will let me get back to work and lay on a bed on the side desk next to me. If I am reading, watching tv ect. she is either on my lap/chest, besides me or curled up between my legs depending on whether I am in a chair or on the bed. She right now is sleeping on my feet under the kitchen desk as I type this.

I think the 3 a.m. pet me requirement is the toughest. She stands on me to wake me up, I pet her then I lift the covers and she goes under the covers between the wife and I and curls up to spend the rest of the night. In cold weather she is under the covers much earlier.

A simple head bump would be so nice sometime.

Smudge and Mouse are not big on head bumps, although they really like furry tummy rubs.

Slightly off topic, Smudge has wedged himself into an impossibly tiny box and is in the process of demolishing it from the inside out. Mouse is asleep on a pile of clean laundry that needs to be put away.

Love them claws on Elvis, that’s how my cat is. I never get head bumps from her, but I do get rubbings against my legs.

I had not realized humans could do the “head bump” with cats until I saw this video of a woman brushing lynxes. She plays a “head bump” game with one of them at 6:00. Totally fearless.

I guess Elvis is not a morning cat, but Puck is so sweet and I love his morning round of greetings. Even Pengo gets a head bump!

Neighbor cat is expert at the Beg-and-Slash. Comes up, rubs on ankles, meows, asks for a pet, and <<swipe!!>> that’s a No on the cuddles!

One of the kitties at the colony likes to do nose touches with me. He’ll do it fine the first time, the next time he likes to……take a nibble.

A completely random question for everyone… has anyone heard anything from our picanic basket loving friend Gent? I know he hasn’t posted much on the BCN page as of late, but there are some other GoComics pages that he posted on every day, “Bozo” being one of them. He has not posted a comment on ANY page in eight days now. Many of us on the “Bozo” page have become very worried about him. I am hoping that nothing serious has happened, and perhaps Ranger Smith finally apprehended him for snatching too many picanic baskets! I tried to leave postings on Gent’s blog page but they won’t post at all. If anyone has any knowledge of him, I’d love to know how he’s doing. Wishing Gent peace and good Karma…

I finally realized why my cats have a routine for pets and scritches. Cats have a certain amount of purrs they must get out each day. By each of my cats getting in their routine they can get out the bare minimum purrs. Of course I’m sure we far exceed the recommended daily allowance.

I’ve only ever seen Siamese cats do that “pet me so I can smite you” thing.

Though my neighbors have a Siamese who is one of the sweetest cats I’ve ever met. He’s often around when I’m out walking and always greets me warmly with a leg rub, and never a swat.

They also have sheep who have light colored wool and dark hooves and faces. It always strikes me that the sheep and the cat are wearing the same uniform. I’m not sure if the cat is on “Team Sheep” or if the sheep are on “Team Siamese”.

Is anybody getting notifications of “likes” or “replies” today? The last notifications i got were for comments I posted yesterday. I checked, and I have gotten likes or replies to several of today’s comments. I hope this means they are working on repairing the notifications system. I hope it doesn’t mean they have broken it entirely?
