It hurts me so bad to tell you all this. My kitty died. The vet said he was doing well but some of the bites on his back opened up and he couldn’t be saved. My heart is broken and I cannot stop crying. It might seem silly to be so sad about a kitty I never got to meet, but I loved him the minute I saw him. I was so eager to meet him and help him get better. He must have been so scared when that dog attacked him and it must have hurt so bad. I cannot get that picture out of my head. I have a huge lump in my throat and my eyes won’t stop leaking. He is safe now and not in pain anymore and maybe he is playing with my orange stripey boy Butterbean. He looked so much like him. I know I won’t hurt like this forever, but it doesn’t feel like it now. Rest in Peace my little angel.
Harking back to yesterday, about the comments and articles about the whiskers shock (or sumsuch). When I ran into my spouse I mentioned it to him, and he was going to tell me about it, too. Truder’s bowl stands full for 2-3 days then it’s all gone, like he took a breath and dived into the kibble. I changed it to a larger, flatter bowl, and darned if he didn’t eat half of it right then. His water’s always going down towards empty so that bowl must be ok. That’s what I like about Breakin’ Cat News, it’s a good source of real world information.
During a full moon, I once watched my cat sitting in a patch of moonbeam for hours. She inched her position over to stay in that spot of radiance as it tracked its way across the bed. I’m remembering this joyful image long after I’ve forgotten whatever kind of pain kept me from sleeping. Cats can do that for you.
Maverick loves sunspots, but Ember really loves the reflections that accompany sunspots. I am working from home today (got home at 1:30 AM, partly due to construction on the West Virginia Turnpike and partly due to meeting a friend for lunch who is the equal of the entire panel of The View as a conversationalist, so “lunch” ended shortly before the dinner hour) so starting this afternoon, I have to be careful where I put my cell phone on the table or she will intently stare at the ceiling for hours.
OT: The three foster kittens got to be out in the house with the big cats this weekend. Things went well, the big cats are teaching the little ones cat manners. All my saying “no” when Eddie the biter nips is outweighed by the culture specific reproach he gets when he bites a bit cat’s tail.
I have been asked to let everyone know my sister, Shaunn, has, for reasons due to mental health, cancelled her membership in GoComics.
There’s a lot she feels remorseful for, and has been more and more afraid to come back after every hiatus. She needs to get her head straightened out, and wants to get to the bottom of things.
She asked for no responses to this message. She just wants to let you all know how much she loves you, and that she hopes the best for every one of you.
Thank you for being such good friends. Please let her break this off now, so she can get more help.
GoComics has let her know she can come back whenever she wants, which is very generous.
So sorry to hear about your kitty. It does hurt so much, but at least the pain is over. Your heart will heal with time. I still miss the kitties I’ve lost over the years.

Lupin is a professional sunspot reviewer? I guess now I know who to ask if I ever need a good napping spot recommendation.

I feel a little lost .. what do the numbers 95 and 34 mean? and what are those little symbols next to the numbers?

I love it when they interview each other.

I think you’ll like this spot. Undertones of mellow sunshine, and deceptively concealing the hints of doom

That is one common side effect of sunshine.

Lupin is like a fine wine. Smooth and mellow.
Elvis, however, just likes a whine.

I thought sunspots were temporary dark spots created by magnetic phenomena on the sun’s surface, but okay.

But what about the mysterious spy cat who was caught on camera the other day?

Not silly at all to love a little soul like that, even without meeting. Wishing comfort for you and a peaceful journey for your kitty.

Savoring the suspense of the mystery ginger cat. I’m sure Georgia is taking her time to get the story line just right.

I could use some good thoughts today.
It’s day three of some stiff back pain for me. And i have a labor heavy shift this morning. On top of it being another 12+ hour day.
I’m kinda toasty right now.

So sad to hear of your loss. At least the kitty was loved and cared for at the end, rather than dying in pain and fear out on the street.
