Tara isn’t anybody’s friend. She’s very selfish.

So Tara is better at abstract sculpting than painting. Nothing wrong with that – she’s just in the wrong class. If Zebo spoke the exact same instructions in a sculpting class, would Tara have gotten it, I wonder?

I think Tara did a minimalist 3 – D abstract rendition of the squash and the bottle of wine. The crumpled paper in the crescent shape represents the squash and it’s shape, even to the extent that it has a larger diameter end and a smaller diameter end just like the squash, and the pencil and it’s location represent the straight line of the side of the bottle. Clever.

I think Luann needs to get out of her head.

Okay. I’ll say it. Watching Gunther put his foot in his mouth – again – and reading three hundred comments about how Gunther is and deserves to be the most hated character in all of literature -

Is more fun than watching this.

Interesting – it looks like Tara is being disrespectful to Luann and her job – but if Luann complains to Zebo – Luann might really be humiliated if Zebo likes Tara’s little art piece. My own take is that Tara needs “tude” correction more than Luann does. However since Tara is really interesting, I hope they patch up their friendship after this squabble.

Luann’s job as a teacher’s assistant should not include monitoring and muting her fellow student’s private comments about their professor – she’s taking the job far too seriously…

Maybe because I’m older, but a little of Tara goes a long way.

I’m proud of Luann for taking her TA job seriously and pushing her friends to do their best.

But is it Art?

Tara’s “krinkle” piece sorta resembles the squash in the still life.

I was a TA in high school and the only thing I had to do was sit beside my teacher and grade low-scoring test papers, but I agree with Luann because I’m a college student as well. Your class costs at least $1,500 so the least you can do is try your best instead of good around.

LuAnn should chill. Let Tara make her own definitions of art.

It seems as if Tera doesn’t respect Luanns new position. Friends respect each other or atleast they should. She’s a good friend when it comes to the fun stuff ,but not the serious stuff.

Actually, I’m predicting that Zebo will consider this “art” and, in fact, hold it up to show the class! Whaddya think?

Unless we didn’t see it, Zebo needs to tell Luann the responsibilities of being a TA. But Tara should not screw around in class. This isn’t 3rd grade.

don’t we all go through that period as a young adult where we learn people that are good for us to be around and people that aren’t? If Tara was a good friend, she wouldn’t get her friend into difficult positions. She might see that she’s a free spirit, but she sounds incredibly unreliable.

Zebo is going to love Tara’s sculpture—it’s even more “banal” than the actual still life. And it is obviously Tara’s actual impression of it. Art is all about expression.

Way back in school my lab partner and I made a fire breathing monster destroying a city for a design class. It was made entirely out of garbage and trash. It drew flies, but we got an “A” for the project.

A new artistic genius is born!? Luann has such a great passion for Art. This is so beautiful. But now it’s obvious that Tara is unable to take anything seriously. Even if that thing is so important for Luann.

To ME, it looks like “the finger”…

Tara is so clever, irreverent, dodgy, cute as hell, challenge to Luann, is a friend, is the anti-Bernice in a way, but I think their friendship is intact.

Prof Zeebo will probably declare Tara’s work a master piece and give her a A+. Maybe even a TA position for thinking outside the box, er deep essence.

There’s a giant piece of metal public art at the entrance to the George Washington Bridge that looks almost exactly like that.

Several weeks ago BB (Before Bets), I was speculating on hookups of love interests. At that time I speculated about Tara and Nil being soulmates. Looks like that’s still alive. On the other hand Jack, Tiffany, Les and Luann are still in the “Who Knows” category. With Gunther committed for now, the speculations about Tiffany and Les still seem to be in play. Will Jack and Luann tire of DATE-PIC and rediscover each other???? NAH!

You know? I wonder how Tara would have reacted if there had been giggling and snide remarks directed at her, while SHE was posing nude that time?

Yeah, I know. As long as she got her 50 bucks, she could have CARED LESS.

And Jack gets yet another “point” from yours truly, for not being a part of this travesty. :)

I’ve never liked Tara from the start. She doesn’t take anything seriously, she’s far too self-imposing, and she tries way too hard to get people to like her. Ultimately, I think she’s a con job, a fake, a liar, and Luann would be wise not to put any real trust in her.

Something about the interaction between Tara and Luann seems “off” to me. It does not really seem in keeping with either character’s typical personality.

The idea of Tara and Nil being “plants” from Professor Zebo seems far less likely today…. so that is why, TO ME ANYHOW, the interactions between Tara and Luann just seem unnatural and “off”.

I have no idea now and no prognostications about what will transpire.

It seems stupid for Tara to be taking this class but not even trying.

It seems Luann should know/understand that student management of the sort she is attempting is not really part of being a T.A. AND Luann should have also realized that Tara’s little snide comment wasn’t too much different than some of the laughy/jokey comments she has been shown to make in the past (no citation, I never have luck looking back through the archives, but I know there was one).

So…. both of them just seem “odd” and “off” to me at the moment.

I note that Luann is now copying her master with the neck ..what is that, an ascot?

So, Tara’s creativity tends more to the 3D than to the 2D area. She whipped that cute little sculpture together in no time!

Deal with it, Ms. Big Shot TA…

I was an art major and remember having classmates like that. Given as we all paid money and chose to be there, I used to wonder “Who they were rebelling against and why?” The behavior of the two characters is tedious, ridiculous and more akin to high school than community college.

Having Tara as a friend could be of questionable value. She might play the joker, but always has an Ace up her sleeve. She cultivates contacts, not friends. She will have a inventory of who can do what for her, kind of like Mr. Gray.
