Coming Soon 👀 At the beginning of April, you’ll be
introduced to a brand-new GoComics! See more information here. Subscribers, check your
email for more details.
Then buy a new elf costume off the internet. Problem solved. Duh. In fact you might just find really skimpy elf costumes there that aren’t even suitable for children. Hope that doesn’t freak you out too much, Broni.
Well, no “meet Santa” day. The firetruck is just sitting there. In the second panel, it is looking at you two. Go ahead. Take it out. Let the kids drive it! They will forget all about the “meet Santa” day. It will be a day no one will ever forget! Gawd, I’m in the spirit already!
BT above has given me the idea that maybe that is a plan, some alternative form of Christmas cheer. Seeing Brad and Toni on the Sunday shift is not unusual, but it is unusual when they are featured in the presumably completed weekly Les/Punk/Gunther/Irma/Al/and not enough Bets arc.
Luann is a strip that has usually decided to skip covid and continue with life as normal. (During World War II many comic strips had characters join the service, while others continued as if country was ‘normal’.) A little crack in the policy today. I think, overall, I don’t mind strips skipping it. I get enough mask wearing and social distancing in real life that I’m willing to forego it in the comics.
It seems Friday, Saturday, then Sunday is a continuation of a Brad/Toni arc. Wonder if they will get creative about a Christmas event or will this slide into a different arc. Will they ever address the painted couch or is that gone forever? Meanwhile will Bernice see her brother and family for the holidays?
Okay, I’ll bite. WHY are Brad and Toni wearing TIES? No firefighter I’ve ever known has worn a tie to work. Talk about impractical. You wear your normal firefighter uniform and can quickly get into your turn-outs when there’s an emergency. Come on, all you firefighters out there, join the conversation. Unless Brad and Toni are strictly office help, they won’t be wearing a tie!!!!!
After the discussion in this arc, I suspect the next Brad and Toni arc will have Toni showing up to the fire station looking a little beleaguered and nauseous, someone commenting she’s late and her responding “you have no idea….”

Toni’s hair color lost the yellow and is back from before, when it was the same shade as Luann’s.

Huh. Due to Covid? Don’t think I’ve seen this comic mention it before.

Toni, he wore the santa outfit because he knew you’d be an elf and he was enjoying the view of your rear end in skin tight leggings.

Just walk in and say,
“It’s a comic, not a documentary!”
and walk out.
You know, if one person, just one person, does it, they may think he’s really sick and they won’t take him seriously.
And if two people do it, in harmony, they may think they’re both obsessive-compulsive and they won’t take either of them seriously.
And if three people do it! Can you imagine three people walkin’ in and sayin’ it and walkin’ out? They may think it’s an Organization!
And can you imagine fifty people a day? I said FIFTY people a day, walkin’ in, sayin’ it and walkin’ out?
Friends, they may think it’s a Movement, and that’s what it is.
The Funnies is Funnies anti-massacree movement! And all you gotta do to join is to say it the next time it comes around on the guitar…
With feelin’.

Still dress as Santa and the Elf, but drive around and wave to the kids. That’s what they did last year. Got a pic of Santa on the fire truck.
