How many days will we go before Ed tries to sell them some of Tiffany’s old stuff?

Two high paid firefighters are buying a $300 car? That is pretty dumb.

Is Ed Mr Gray’s son? Sure looks like him; but he seems to have inherited Ann Eifel’s shadiness.

Now, if he throws in that old white water heater that is sitting behind it, that will make up for the missing door. They could weld it to the side where the door is missing, cut an entrance door into it, put a round hydraulic platform in it, and use it as an elevator to get from the street level to the floorboard level.

Or, with it welded to the side, it would be the first mobile version of that round booth thing Woody Allen used in the movie “Sleeper”. What did they call that thing? Wasn’t it a spasmatron or something like that?

Can’t help but think that the Safari is really a metaphor for all the hopes and plans for the year 2020.

Now Ed is beginning to remind me of Mr Haney of Green Acres fame, do Toni and Brad take the bait like Oliver and Mrs Douglas?

We need a fixer to get these two some wheels. Should we go for TJ (Mr Adventures in scamming) or Mr Grey (Mr I Got Connections).

That’s the guy that bought Tiffany’s furniture, and who she convinced should go upscale in his second hand marketing. So much for that.

Well I think my version of the misdirection play is still possible. I do see we have seen Ed before, but Tiffany is a different character who was drawn in a different, selfish, situation than Brad and Toni. Unless Ed pulls a rabbit out of his hat, or they, sadly, decide to keep the $300 and go back home in the wreck that brung them, I think, like BJ, that this is metaphorical, although not necessarily for Annus Horribilis, 2020. Baby on the way eventually.

I dunno, if it’s a long-term hobby they’re looking for and money isn’t a concern, then somehow turning this hunk of rust and scrap back into a car could be just what they need…

‘Different’ is the word you’re looking for, Brad. Something ‘different’.

The Eds of this world over-value everything they have, and demand four times what it’s worth. Anything you’re trying to sell them is junk and they’ll give you next to nothing for it. Now, any businessman needs to make a profit, it is the ones with the unrealistic expectations at both ends of the transaction I find scum.

Maybe the seller will offer to give it to Brad and Toni to get it off his hands.

Hey,,, What you expect for 300 dollars? Come on now. Restoring a car is expensive. Have you ever priced the necessary tools for a restoration? This car is a parts car/junk; however, if you are worried about the cost of restoration and don’t have a well equipped garage then I advise you to stay away from 50 year cars that list for 300…

Silly to assume that a $300 car would be in running order and street legal.

Do these people still exist? Toni and Brad should go to the animal shelter and find a dog to train and love. Of course, the wagon looks like a fixer-upper that Shannon might like, or she could use that blue paint on it!. ;-)

In real life (and with some impulse control) I’d say walk out of that guy’s lot immediately and search elsewhere. I actually found myself googling “where to find classic cars”. In terms of comic strip storylines I’m sure that’s not an option.

Once fixed, that wagon would make a great toy for a child♡. I wonder if Toni and Brad could find a better car in Ed’s yard. But this looks really difficult.

They need Tiffany here to do the bargaining and convincing.

That car is what you’d call a FIXER-UPPER.

They will ultimately pass on buying anything and go home disappointed and dejected, only to learn in a few days or weeks that they are expecting. Like most couples do, they will have left it up to fate and fate usually brings a baby. Initially Toni will be anxious about this new step but Brad will reassure her. Once she bonds with the idea of a baby then love will overcome fear.

It’s a project. You offer him a $100 (or just pay the $300), find 4 tires that fit and hold air, call a tow truck (arrange a price before you start), roll it into your garage, change your clothes and get started!

The customer is always right! I tell you what, for an extra ten bucks I’ll throw in an original cast recording of Paint Your Wagon!
