I always wondered why people had to show me their food at all the restaurants they are eating at. I might take pictures of the food but it’s only for my photo library.
Some take it too far…to the point of ridiculous and annoying! Who gives a rats ass ( sorry RAT) about what your eating and or drinking, or whatever! Get a life!
One I find stupid is people actually thinking celebrity problems are important in the scheme of things. Who gives a darn what is going on with Meghan and Harry and why should I care? Then there are the celebrities I have have no idea why they are celebrities like Kardashians. Don’t people have their own lives to live?
Oh, woe! Look at ALL I’m missing! Not only is FB, Instagram, and Google et al. blocked on my computer, I haven’t seen a targeted ad in years, yet I still see what I want to see. So much loss…
Remember the old days, when we would have to take an actual picture of our dinner, have the film developed, then go around showing everyone the pictures? No? Then stop doing it on Facebook!
I love the comments on cartoons here. Sometimes they are funnier than the cartoon. Also, I got on Facebook to keep in touch with people from my hometown and work (after I retired).
After some time, I realized that the former is still fun and the latter was a chore, so I left.
social media wouldn’t be such a problem if hadn’t taught several generations that each person is “special”, instead of teaching them no one person is better than any other person intrinsically
I was going to comment on how I avoid such people (total isolation) but just realized I’m doing the same self-involved crap.Sorry guys. Continue your conversation.
Are we all addicts now? Is there a dopamine or some other clinically detectable reward sensation/rush, even from something as simple as making (or even just reading) comments? Never mind the full time on-line social media/clickswipe infused life of so many people.
I’m REALLY not posting this here. I have no need for recognition, or to give some stranger a laugh, or to irritate those who don’t agree with me, or point out someone’s ignorance. I’m just SO evolved! (Unlike you sad, lonesome failures!) /s

That last panel reminded me of a woman I know. Whenever she and her husband eat out, she always takes a picture of her food and puts it on Facebook.
