Looks like Pouch will be stuck there for quite awhile, since they plan on setting up “welcome wagon” for those returning, which could be a long wait.

Pouch is going to be holding it for a long time. The longer he waits the more the outside will be crawling with fuzz.

End of the line for Tiger !  The window of opportunity for Pouch to get out unseen is fast closing. Things are looking dire for Bellum house. Will Cheesecake wind up calling a taxi to get her and Peggy back home and away from the Oscar and brother Bellum machine sooner than later ?  Cheesey dame will be going cold turkey now that her supply and supplier are gone. Sunday should be interesting.

Someone predicted that would be how Tiger Lily would be caught.

Spring’s arriving early – the first Tiger Lily has popped up.

Tiger will get toilet facilities, a meal, and a warm place to sleep – three things he has very much wanted in the previous 24 hours. And yet, somehow, I sense he will not be grateful for his improved conditions.

Well now, Punxsutawney Phil, I presume?….NOT!!

Great images again today , but what is he claiming out of in frame three ? Is that the roof ?

Having knocked out the old vent, Tiger escapes his prison much like William Forsythe (and John Goodman) in Raising Arizona. He is caught in the beam of the flashlight. Can he make a getaway? Might Pouch use the rumpus as his chance to exit stage right? Very suspenseful. Well played.

A long, long time ago, I saw balloons, especially a blue balloon. But that was eons ago!

Looks like the old “Pipe Bomb” model flashlight there.

1-DT: That bed looks comfy. I think I’ll have a nap till they all return. Give me a blast on the old wrist radio when they all get back.

SAM: But I was thinking of joining you. DT: No. You snore.

2-OFFICER TERRY CREWS: What was that…

3-…Oh, hey little fella! You lost? Where’s your mommy?

OFFICER BACKUP: That’s no kid, Terry. That’s a dwarf or an unfortunate with no legs.

FRENCHY: Ummm yeah. I left my prosthetics in the house. I’ll, uh, wait here while you get them for me?

TERRY: Sure thing! We SERVE and Protect!

This story seems to have run longer than the usual length stories the strip has done in the past – it is dragging on, isn’t it – not like Mike to have a story go on this long.

retropop – but Mike does seem to have stuff keep happening.

While I have not cared at all for the constant stereotypes used in this story (drugs, hippies, Timothy Leary house), I give credit where credit is due. This is one complex story, with multiple baddies working different angles (and probably different crimes) all at the same time.

Has anyone seen or heard from jaz h lately? He hasn’t posted any comments nor put up any “likes” since Monday. I hope he’s okay. (I know he wasn’t banned, because his comments from Monday are still up.)

Wow! Lilly goes from the Cellar to a snow Capped roof? Please folks, let’s get real, and more importantly..get done.

Just as I thought, Tracy and Sam did stick around. Two officers in the rear of 1312 Bedwell. An improvement…maybe a memo went to them. Tracy, Sam, you two are getting on in years, the duo stuff done by you two in the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s, 80’s, 90’s and early 2000’s won’t cut it any more. Under no circumstances do you go on a call without backup.

Why is Tiger Lily being harassed!? He’s just concerned about the snow load on the roof! Looks pretty heavy.

Some days a guy just can’t catch a break! Tiger Lilly pokes out through the roof of the old root cellar only to be caught in the glare of the copper’s flashlight! I guess he’ll be taken into custody by the two uniformed officers and will end up doing some hard time. It’s like a video game of whack-a-tiger!

And Tracy and Sam will be setting up a dragnet around The 1312 for any returnees, even as Pouch squirms in the uncomfortable hiding place he chose, the old dumb waiter [the hiding place or the hider]!

Tomorrow, unless we swerve into a diversion, I expect we’ll see some action around the old mansion, which is like honey to the hippie wannaBEEs….

1-OFFICER BACKUP: HANG ON LITTLE BUDDY! WE’RE COMING! FRENCHY: I AIN’T NOBODY’S LITTLE BUDDY! I’M THE GUY WHO KILLED DOLLAR BILL! DICK TRACY HAS BEEN LOOKING FOR ME!

2-OFFICER BACKUP: Really? Paging Dick Tracy! This is Officer Backup. INCREDIBLY, I’ve just identified suspected murderer Frenchy from 50 yards away in the dark! EVEN THOUGH he was disguised as a child slash legless person! Should I shoot? Over.

3-DT: Negative. That’s no longer the world we live in. Let him get away if necessary but do NOT shoot.

POW POW POW!

4-OFFICER BACKUP: I fired warning shots but judging from his header into the canal, they might’ve been too accurate. Over.

5-OFFICER BACKUP: Boy. Tracy sure was mad. I oughta get a marksman medal but “DESK DUTY” he says. Just wait till I fill out the SUPERIOR REVIEW SURVEY for that jerk!
