What? No Easter candy yet ? No chocolate bunnies with those long, luscious ears? Woman, what have you been thinking?!

Tell the Kids they’re celebrating Russian Easter this year, you’ve got until May to prep for that one! (My mother’s Russian Orthodox, Brother and I grew up with two Christmases and two Easters. The Russian observances were always a bonanza of candy!)

Easter has crept up on us this year! Take down the shamrocks, of course! The children must have baskets with chocolate bunnys, peeps, and colored eggs!

And I need to go shopping for a ham!

I usually handle the eggs and so forth, and I usually leave it until just a few days before Easter, because chocolate seems to evaporate. (It’s the Australian climate that does it.) But now we’ve been slapped with a three day lockdown, so my window for buying eggs and chocolate bunnies will be very narrow, and probably I’ll have to contend with hordes of other last-minute buyers.

Why do they think the Easter Bunny doesn’t like Shamrocks? He more than likely eats them in the wild, woman (and Elvis)

I’m just intrigued about why em westerners are celebrating eastern things.

When my chrilden were in grade school we raised bunnies for a few years. There was a stage when they were half grown that I used to call, the spring loaded furball age. One year I took a litter at that age into my daughter’s first grade class. And yes we did release the bunnies! The amazing miracle being that the teacher was able to keep control of the class!

Thing 2 and her husband have a Flemish Giant and a mini bun. They’re free roaming and she dresses them up for Easter. So darned cute it breaks your heart!

OT: The ship is unstuck!

I have two identical baskets for the almost two identical stuffed bunnies (dog toys) that have been hopping around my front yard amusing the neighborhood children for a year. Baskets are big enough for the bunnies to sit in. They will go out Saturday night, when the Easter Bunny comes.

Just simply hilarious! Release the bunnies!

Easter isn’t worth turning into a basket case for. Elvis is right. It’s bunny season!!

Brown paper lunch bags, decorated in crayon (or marker, acrylics, or water colors) and cut into rabbit ears or the tops of easter eggs. Take some of the left over paper from cutting the rabbit ears or egg top and glue or staple (staple would be best) to the sides of the bag to make straps. Easter basket right there.

And that is not a joke. I actually did that in first grade.

Of course Elbiff minds, the told the woman that no one minds and we all know that only Elbiff can soothe the woman and tell her it will be okay.
