Misery loves company.

Sadly, it doesn’t look like a Maui trip will be happening. It’s nice to see Dez again, though!

She should Take Dez toMaui.

Unexpected, but I like it!

Anything beats having Bets in a strip even Ann Eiffel.

Tiffany, treat yourself to a spray on tan. It acts as a sunscreen so you won’t prune while you help Dez in the garden. Or better yet, use 100 percent sunblock and don’t tan. Make people wonder what you have been up to.

Tiffany is making me sad. She so desperately wants people around but doesn’t seem to know how to make it happen.

Would it be racist to have Dez say, “Lighten up.”

I’m glad she’s showing her midriff. Even though it’s been decades since I’ve seen a midriff baring top. Wanna prude while you prude?

Well a guess that Dez was the “friend” gardening in the text blast is warranted, but it’s like a balm, Tiffany chose to go to Dez’s garden. Calm and real is the choice. By itself that is significant. Also Dez’s line at the end is quite funny and meaningful.

Well Tiffany’s character is getting better – about 1% per year…

We’ve seen Tiffany get a feeling of accomplishment from her job at The Fuse. Will Dez help her find a similar reward in learning about gardening?

Lol! Bringing the lawn chair! Dez is the perfect friend to visit. Positive vibes and non-threatening. She might inspire Tiffany again. ;-)

Avoid Dez like the plague Tiff. She’s a screwball bar none!

HOORAY! Tiffany has left her huge, elegant and lonely mansion to spend time with a friend! Clever girl! Maybe she’ll really just be there to get a tan and talk, or she might get bored and start helping Dez in the garden and talk even more. I kinda hope Tiffany tells her about the canceled trip with her workaholic dad. Maybe they could go to Maui together. Then, maybe Tiffany will meet Aaron Hill and… ♡

“People” keep saying that Luann needs a boyfriend but it seems to me that Tiffany is the one in need of a boyfriend. Someone to wean her off “daddy” and fill her days when school is quarantined and the house is ghastly empty.

Perhaps, Tiff will get swarmed by fire ants again, and Gunther will come along at the right time, much to Bet’s dismay. Then, Tiff asks Gunther how his salamander is doing.

So Tiff goes to Dez.

Will Dez impart some Zen-like, Head Scratching, New Age, Neo-Hippie Mirth about how We should all be good to the Earth? And Will Tiffany discover, as some Gardeners do, that if you stay in a garden long enough, sooner or later you’ll encounter snakes, and not necessarily the two legged kind?

And after Hangin’ with Dez, will Tiffany attempt to hook up with her other beloved ”loser” (HER words) friends?

Will Tiffany visit Luann who’s attempting to “babysit” Shannon? (And don’t scoff. Tiffany got along well with Shannon when they first met back around 2016 or so)

Will Tiffany ambush Nil and Bernice whilst they are (A-HEM) “studying?”

And will Tiffany crash Bets and Gunther’s date, thereby finally getting on Bets last certified nerve, and kickstarting an epic Tik-Tok styled shouting match?

And by this time next Saturday, will Tiffany finally realize that maybe, just maybe she was better off sitting by the cement pond at her dad’s multi-million dollar “Ann Eiffel free” McMansion, enjoying life ( That someone else is currently paying for) all the while wondering what the “peasants” were doing?

Nah. ;)

Dez, do you actually expect Tiffany to WORK in your garden???

Everyone needs a good friend, even Tiffany.

See! I told you it was Dez that turned her down yesterday.

I think this week may be a one and off. “Dez and Tiff in the garden” kind of fizzled the last time it came up. It wound up with Tiff getting a garden business idea (“Garden of Eatin’”) then Les and Bets making veggie soup at the Gulag. Then it segued into the whole pirate break up thing.

So maybe we’ll be off on a new couple adventure. Maybe back to the Nil and Bernice saga.

Tiffany could take up to twelve friends with her to Maui to try to find happiness.

But it’s cheaper by the Dez Zen.

So Tiffany goes to see her friend Dez, who she knows is working in her garden, with no intention of helping? What a pal. We’ll get to see what little morsels of wisdom Dez is serving up next week.

Interesting, GnK are picking up the Tiffany/Dez “thing” again. Thing because both are friendly with each other though there’s nothing we’ve seen that says close for either of them. It would be more interesting if both were more open and willing to go outside of their areas a little,.

Now before everyone starts picking apart Tiffany’s body I would like to say that we’ve recently seen her in a swimsuit that’s flattering to her new body type and today this little play suit is colorful and cute! She may never again be “high school skinny” Tiffany but she sure has come a long way and I’m happy for her that she seems so happy and comfortable with herself. She looks great!!!!!! She’s larger than she is was before the Ann Debacle but she looks fairly fit and toned and healthy.

What kind of fruit and vegetable plants would you hand prune? I don’t recall pruning anything in my parents large garden. You thin out seedlings after they sprout but you do that by hand.

Anyway, Tiffany would not know how to prune anything correctly.

Okay – got to share this even if it’s a bit off subject. I just saw a chewing gum commercial that was so Bernice and Nil! It shows two young adults coming together in the park and immediately locking into a passionate embraced kissing. Behind them, and all over the park are other young couples all doing the same in wild abandon!! So either some ad man follows Luann or making out in public is a new thing? Too funny!

Dez remember who talking too.

Very pleasantly surprised here. After yesterday, I almost didn‘t even want to look. Does this count as a misdirection, 1212?

Other misdirections: Shannon.

In the past, it appears that Brad and Toni arcs never were about Brad and Toni, they were about Shannon. Of late, Shannon arcs now feature Brad and Toni dropping Shannon off at Luann‘s. Are Brad and Toni about to do a Jonah? (Ducks!)

Seriously, this does appear to be the way G&K might bring Luann back into her own strip, as the new permanent babysitter for Shannon!

If you spend hours and hours getting a deep dark tan you are considered ‘Cool,’ if you were born that way, not so much.

Hey, Dez—it’s long immersion in water that causes your skin to look like a prune, not exposure to sunlight.

Tiffany is acting like a surprise, unwanted, uninvited “guest”.

In a few years that will be her at a dermatologist’s.

Take Dez to Maui and meet Dez’s family?

It makes sense that in a time of personal crisis Tiff would reach out to Dez; when she was downsizing and clearing out of her space at Mooney Tiff initially stayed with Dez and Bern. Dez, the worldly person who uses free time to its maximum and comes across as secure in her sense of self, is the perfect person for Tiff to talk to in her moment of maximum insecurity. It is telling that she leaves the concrete pad of the mansion poolside to enter a place of nature that is Dez’s domain. While Tiff seems non-chalant in her desire to just sun herself, I’m gonna predict that she will break down i.e. burst into tears and Dez will be the one to offer wise words.

Tiff’s attempt to recapture the old times jet-setting around with her dad is not being realized even though Ann was ousted and she lives at home now. But Tiff is an adult and Tom doesn’t have to take her with him on trips; she can do these trips by herself (on his dime albeit). Tiff has a degree program, career goals and a job; she was good at patching up Bets’ and Gunther’s relationship but she is now coming to terms with the fact that she has no personal life of her own.

Tend to your own crops, loser. I’m trying to get skin cancer over here.

This probably means this arc will continue into next week.

I’m getting the feeling that G&K forgot that Dez doesn’t actually live in Pittsville and was only there to attend college (she’s actually from somewhere in New York).

When in Rome, Tiffany, do as the Romans do.

Sunday: Shannon returns! :-p

Guess noone noticed that Dez went from a dark skinned Jamaican with dark hair to an Irish Ginger and red hair.

Tiff needs a companion, and Dez is it! The Tiffster seems to be putting on pounds again, not a good sign. I hope she makes it through this crisis….

Tiff is slowly starting to look more healthy, and strong! :)
