Have we seen the Woman’s sister’s boyfriend in the newspapers yet? Here he is meeting Lupin for the first time.http://www.breakingcatnews.com/comic/local-cat-causes-scene-in-the-living-room/
Ahhh the 90s . . . when grunge was hot, goth was in, and head-bangers were one of the many major cliques in my high school. If you didn’t listen to Metallica, Alice in Chains, Korn, Pearl Jam, Placebo, Fear Factory, Oasis (and a medley of other alternative rock bands) you were branded “uncool”. Wearing black (especially leather) and/or a flannel long-sleeved shirt was highly recommended. (ミゝᆽ╹ミ)
Ah yes, the teen years rebellion during which the young proved they would never conform to the parents’ mores by conforming instead to the current teen fads. With skinny pants seemingly out, I am watching wide legs return with a certain degree of trepidation that they might re-achieve bell bottom fullness but possibly minus the tie dye and peace medallion patches. Time to get out my “I survived the 60’s TWICE!” T-shirt. Age may or may not bring wisdom but it does bring a wry appreciation of the circular nature of human experience.
I never thought Goths were supposed to look like bats. I always thought they looked like people who let their makeup get away from them and it turned them surly. :)
We could not afford to fly Mac home for the holiday. However, another family who lives in New York invited him to their home for thanksgiving. Today, they took him and two other dancers to an ethnic Sicilian Restaurant in NY City. Everything, including the menus, are in Italian.
I told him to look for Pollo since he likes chicken. Furthermore, I told him to leave the gun and take the cannoli.
We went to a very rough neighborhood to pick up some supply for my dad’s office when I was in 10th grade (’73). AS really hot looking Greaser (leather jacket, longer slicked back hair, flannel shirt, long straight legged black jeans, boots) walked past, he nodded at me and mom went ballistic. I wonder how he turned out???
I don’t think it has been mentioned yet, but, considering their histories, there is something brilliant in the image of Lupin happily snoozing in the Intruder’s arms….while Goldie is happily planted in the arms of the Intruder’s boyfriend*.
*Or fiancé or husband…whatever. Lupin doesn’t like him. So, of course, Goldie likes him.
Elvis, not confined to solitary? Ok, who is this cat and what has he done with the real Elvis? I get Nana, but I thought she was the only one Elvis didn’t have a problem with. Outside the boy and girl and, of course, the woman.

Does anyone have a favorite Thanksgiving dish? Mine is pumpkin pie.

It looks like the intruder has her boyfriend with he. Lupin doesn’t seem to mind.

Only one piece cut out of a pumpkin pie with 4 adults and 2 kids in the room? They must have started in on a second pie.
I guess Elvis is done guarding the coats so now he’s guarding the woman.

Elvis appears to be doing some investigative reporting on the Woman’s slice of pie – or the whipped cream topping.

Dinner was a success. We avoided talking about politics, and everyone had a good time.
And yes, Hamilton jumped on the counter and licked the turkey. More on this later.
When I was young, I was not cool. A partial list of the kids who were cooler than I…
Everyone, et.al.
But I got even. Now I am old and not cool!

Meanwhile, Back on the Nile
Queen Catshepsut the Golden: Once again we celebrate the Feast of Gratitude. Thomios, you have outdone yourself.
Thomios: Thank you, Your Majesty. It’s always a pleasure to provide the feast.
Puckmosis: How did you manage to obtain so much fish?
Thomios: As always, there just seemed to be enough in the kitchen.
Beatrixia: I’m sure you ladies had nothing to do with it.
Ta-Natash:Who, us?
At the fishing boat of the Water Cat brothers.
Freshwater Cat: Well, that was a successful fishing trip, Salty. Did we leave enough for the Royal Procurers?
Saltwater Cat: Yep, like they took it all.

JDP_Huntington Beach almost 3 years ago
The woman is “BatGirl!”
That makes perfect sense….
“BatGirl” was a teenager when she helped out Robin and Batman…then disappeared….rumor was she was shot by the Joker and became Oracle.
But now we know, she just stepped back and became a mom and wife, with four adorable fuzzy friends…
