One of my all-time favorites! Elvis is going to need another mug of that coffee to deal with this.

I love the detail that Lupin often holds his coffee mug with both paws, and indeed there is paint on both sides of the mug!

Elvis’s expression and implied tone here still crack me up. Living with a Cat Of Adventure, summed up in one expression!

When I was painting the bathroom in our old house, Esmeralda got paint oh her paw. She was a curious little Torti. Now she’s crossed the bridge, I wish I’d kept one of the paw prints.

I love the first look of concern, then both shock and realization! And Elvis…nuff’ said!

Is this the result of Beatrix accidentally giving Lupin a regular coffee instead of a de-caf? Oh well, live and learn Bea!

Oh, such a sloppy cat!

The paint on his paws matches the color of “someone’s” eyes.

The paw prints liven up the background.

Another good one! I wonder if they will show multiple from this little saga or leave this to remind those who know of Lupin’s adventures and exploits. For many of us, “someone has paint on their paws,” is all we need.

Let’s hope it is water-based paint!

I love how the paint is the same color as Lupin’s eyes. Didn’t notice that the first time.

Georgia posted once that this almost happened. She was painting a piece of furniture and Lupin leapt in. The difference between comic and real life is she managed to grab him before he ran through the house. One of my multitude of reasons I admire her is the way she takes something so minor and turns it into a brilliant piece of comedy.

I sooo personally relate to all the emotions in panel two. Been there. Still go there.

And yes I broke my “How bad can it be?” Lupin mug – because not every cup survives a drop into the sink. :(

I like that shade of green. Maybe it’d be easier to paint the walls to match, even though with watercolor a little dry edge would still show.

Had a kitten once that walked through my paint tray and then ran all around the house. Luckily, no carpet was involved.

I love the way Georgia has drawn the look of dismay on Lupin’s sweet face in the second panel.

Ah, I do fondly remember Lupin’s “green period” when he set out to make his mark on the world. :)

I admire Lupin’s correct usage of the gender-neutral “their” for an unknown subject even though, at the time, there were no female suspects in the apartment.

(Would’ve been a twist if it’d been Tabitha, “the Stealth Pranker”, painting pawprints on walls, but less funny overall.)

Lupin is such an amazing character. He’s so cute and funny. He is always a joy to see in the comics. 9/10

Nothing to joke about. Cats can die from ingesting paint when they try to clean the paint off their paws.

The worst thing is the humans have real proof on walls and ceilings that a cat can defy gravity. Before, it was just an old wives’ tale. Let’s hope there’s no evidence of him walking THROUGH a wall. That could destroy the time and space continuum.
