Coming Soon 👀 At the beginning of April, you’ll be
introduced to a brand-new GoComics! See more information here. Subscribers, check your
email for more details.
Linus is already the perfect gentleman as a little fella. Good strong roots and background always enhance adulthood. The tree is pliable when a young sapling and easily molded, and thus it is with us humans. C’est la vie!
It would be interesting to see who would become more of a hand-pecked husband as an adult: Chuck or Linus. My bet is Chuck and he’s probably be stuck with Lucy (Schroeder bolts town to play the dinner theater circuit for blue hairs) with his next door neighbors being P Patty and her partner Marcie!
I must have grown quickly. I wasn’t even old enough to remember the showdown with my bullying sister with a four year head start. Mom was chuckling when she told me about it.
I don’t see any ladies here. All I see in Lucy is a narcissistic little girl. Take the pounding, Linus. One day, you will be bigger and then you can put your bully of a sister in her place.

How about ham AND peanut butter! (Dang. My one chance to stay up late and make the first comment, and I blew it.)
loreleianothername about 3 years ago

How is it courteous to a lady when the lady is demanding?
GROG Premium Member about 3 years ago
She won’t be no lady by then.
Baarorso about 3 years ago
I’ve said it before but it bears repeating…why Lucy never got her comeuppance for being a bossy bully is beyond me.
Wilde Bill about 3 years ago
Lucy will never be a lady.
juncarlo about 3 years ago
Linus could do what many waiters do to rude diners; spit in food.
su43dipta about 3 years ago
That means right now is your chance to do it!
bluram about 3 years ago
Linus, just make her a ham and peanut butter sandwich with a spoon full of horseradish for a kicker. That should take care of her future demands.
GirlGeek Premium Member about 3 years ago
No he was right the first time. He shouldn’t have to be your slave because you don’t know how to get up.
orinoco womble about 3 years ago
Better make it peanut butter, Linus, mom might have plans for the ham.

Make her an Ice-cream Sandwich. That way she’ll get both her ice-cream, (from yesterday), and her sandwich.
mrcooncat about 3 years ago
Linus .. start watching episodes of South Park, and learn from the expert, Eric Cartman how to handle your bossy sister.
Mediatech about 3 years ago
My older brother once “asked” me to make him a sandwich. I gave him peanut butter and cheese wiz. He never asked again.
dflak about 3 years ago
Linus may be a gentleman, but Lucy is no lady.
Darryl Heine about 3 years ago
I’ll take ham, cheese optional.
jagedlo about 3 years ago
A gentleman? Not if he has to fight to survive being in that family!
JudithStocker Premium Member about 3 years ago
Never give in to her Linus!
Decepticomic about 3 years ago
I know I used this yesterday, but, Linus? Toilet water? Maybe bring Lucy a glass of it to go with her sandwich.

You can’t be bigger than Lucy, because she will always be the oldest. Plus, you two are the same height, anyways.
mrsdonaldson about 3 years ago
Of course, a “lady” would say “please” and “thank you.”

I bet Linus is wishing she was allergic to peanut butter right about now. That is, after all, the most common allergy.
tripwire45 about 3 years ago
When he finds a lady, he’ll make her a sandwich.
e.groves about 3 years ago
Be sure to top it with plenty of hot sauce.
Robert Nowall Premium Member about 3 years ago
That would be fine if she qualified as “a lady.”

The key word here is “lady”. Lucy is no lady, and she never will be. Feel free to pound her all you like.

Considering you’ve been a kid since the 50s I doubt that day will come for you

Scarlett O’Hara: You sir, are no gentleman!
Rhett Butler: And you are no lady!
KEA about 3 years ago
you should never hit a lady – if she hits you first, she ain’t no lady. I think something similar applies here.

jbruins84341 about 3 years ago
Wow! Talk about coincidence. I just had a reply on this exact strip from the first time it ran. Should have noted the date.
pchemcat about 3 years ago
Sorry Lucy, but sisters are not included in the “lady” category, you are just a sister. Just be glad you don’t have older brothers!
Natarose about 3 years ago
Where is there a lady?! You? No real lady would treat her brother like that.
Save Linus about 3 years ago
At least she was nicer in today’s strip.

Lucy is probably my favorite Peanuts character.
