You don’t think the police will notice that someone sideswiped their cruiser?
Lenny’s Pancake House (https://www.lennyspancakehouse.com/) seems to be a singular restaurant in Myrtle Beach, but it seems to be branching out in this strip.
Ferret and Ape’s lucky day may have arrived. If they are on a wanted list their criming days are over and so is the likelihood of them getting kilt. One thing’s for sure; they will be tied up for some time while this mess gets sorted which only gives the killer more time to “go through the list” of customers. They could all be kaput by the time these two are back on their way. Do you think they will get a ticket for uninsured vehicle, at the least ?
HAHAHAHAHA!!! Hilarious strip today, both in artwork and writing! The expression on Ferret’s and Ape’s faces in that second panel is classic Looney Tunes! And I love in the first panel how her wish that Ape would shut up is a thought instead of being spoken. It makes it that much funnier!
As I said yesterday, these two have zero brains and luck is even worse, crashing into a police car? I can’t wait to hear what they say to the cops on patrol.
Looks like this case will resolve itself when Yeti attempts to “permanently pink slip” his pratfall prone pair of supporting players while they’re still in police custody — only to run snack dab into Tracy’s erstwhile PR stunt. Based on today’s fantastic comedic stylings, I’m hoping the affair features a non-stop barrage of flying cream pies.
The art on this one looks weird to me. Ape leans way to his left, apparently snapping his shoulder belt, and yanks Ferret toward him? Why is she suddenly leaning way to her right? And it was a violent yank, because her hair is streaming behind her, to her left.
And this causes the car to make a 90 degree left turn? Is Ape so heavy that when he leans to the side, the entire car and other passenger shift to compensate?
Very interesting….since February 8th when Ferret and Ape was shown in their vehicle…it is raining. Yet there are no drops on their windshield. Are they doing the speed limit? Will this be a bump and run? I can hardly wait for tomorrow’s episode.
“Ooh! There’s a Lenny’s Pancake House”! What we have here is a case of “distracted driving”. Lenny’s must be the equivalent of IHOP (International House of Pancakes) in Tracy land.
Ferret hydroplaned into the police car. Since Tracy and Sam are back at headquarters, one can probably rule them as being the other passengers. With a rain slick street I doubt those officers can do a U-turn and take up pursuit.
1-APE: And then Dad left when I was 3. I don’t remember him but Mom said I wasn’t missing anything. Say – do you think these skinny Peugeot seatbelts would really save us in an accident…
2-…LET’S TEST THEM!
FERRET: YOU IDIOT! AHHHHHHH!!!!
3-CRASH!
APE: Hey! They worked! Let’s get back to the sewer. Ferret? Ferret? FERRET?!?
I guess even in a hard-boiled crime story, there’s room for a little slapstick sideswipe of a squad car! Child-like Ape (that’s the polite way of alluding to his mental deficiencies) obscures Ferret’s view as she’s driving, with disastrous results.
What happens next? I’’m pretty sure the cop(s) in that squad car will not be happy; neither will Ferret, nor most of all Ape, who is hungry, dammit!
…the ’distraction" coulda been worse, Ferret: Ape might have eyeballed The Banana Man tooling around in that goofy car of his….Ooo! Ooooo!! OOOOOOOOOOOH!!!

I completely agree with L Silverman that this has turned into LooneyTunesville.
That is not what I look forward to in a Dick Tracy comic.

BOOK QUOTE—-
“One imagines a mastermind as some grand and sinister figure of evil”
“It’s not like that at all.Evil is not something superhuman.
It’s something less than human.Your criminal is someone who wants to be important. But who will never be important.
Because he’ll always be less than a man".

Did they just sideswipe a police car?DID THEY JUST SIDESWIPE A POLICE CAR??
My mind is racing back to who I think were the dumbest Tracy villains of all time.
COnfidence Dolan&Sandy Maguire from 1933 are still in the lead.
With Uncle Punky from 1963 breathing down their necks.
