Spud seems to be spending a lot more time with Rose (playing gin) and that makes Amelia happy.

Heck, lots of us old timey Vikings shot the moon. Oh, different meaning here? My bad.

“Space Viking” is a 1963 space opera novel by H. Beam Piper. After the Terro-Human Federation fell, some Fringe worlds started raiding richer Central worlds. Many years after Piper’s death, John F. Carr wrote further novels in the setting.

What if the Vikings were really from outer space originally, and crashed on Earth after having visited the moon, and lost their technology and knowledge regressing into the Vikings we we know of…

Surprising that they’re hanging out after dark, even if it’s Saturday. They’re dressed for this time of year, but that looks like more of a summer pastime.

There are memes going around on Viking/Norse wannabe Facebook pages that show an old Viking longboat on the Moon with a lunar lander next to it and the astronauts saying “*ucking Vikings”.
