Ok, we’ve already established that squirrels came over to North America with the Vikings. We’ve even seen the squirrel boats. Now we’re talking about Viking Space Squirrels!?!? How rad is that!
Was Spud wondering what would have happened if the U.S. had never put men on the moon, or was he about to go all conspiracy theory on them? Whatever the case, Rose immediately put the kibosh on his question.
“Space Viking” is a 1963 space opera novel by H. Beam Piper. After the Terro-Human Federation fell, some Fringe worlds started raiding richer Central worlds. Many years after Piper’s death, John F. Carr wrote further novels in the setting.
What if the Vikings were really from outer space originally, and crashed on Earth after having visited the moon, and lost their technology and knowledge regressing into the Vikings we we know of…
Surprising that they’re hanging out after dark, even if it’s Saturday. They’re dressed for this time of year, but that looks like more of a summer pastime.
There are memes going around on Viking/Norse wannabe Facebook pages that show an old Viking longboat on the Moon with a lunar lander next to it and the astronauts saying “*ucking Vikings”.

Rose could be saying, “no press”, so how would we know about it? Or no pressure.

Wallace has imagination and vision; Rose is too practical; Spud, too negative. Amelia and the seagull zoned out! Carry on, Wallace.

Yeah, I’d be the Rose in this situation too. :P

So, just a coincidence the Viking chieftain looks like Wallace? Hmmm?

Spud seems to be spending a lot more time with Rose (playing gin) and that makes Amelia happy.

Probably already been done for a Drive-In Sci-Fi flick in the 50s. Or an un-aired episode of The Twilight Zone.

I’m going to need to use that line next time a family member suggests a show to me. “Sounds like one I want to miss”
