I hate to think how many sunrises have been missed since retiring. Thank heaven for sunsets.

Sunrise is a beautiful ending to an evening in town.

Janis, you could get and se… Sorry, you can’t see before 10am! I see Luddie has his tail on Arlo’s leg to keep track of him. Mine will come stand on my foot.

I read Go Comics with my coffee on my lanai, listening to the frogs waiting for sunrise. It’s such a peaceful time.

Yepper… Nothing better!

Luddy is the key. Cats are creatures of habit. I get up at 5 to go to work, so about 4:30 or so the cats come to collect me to feed them. Since they have no concept of weekends, that 5 am is a daily routine for them. Also, like Arlo, I love the ‘waking up’ of the day, and most weekends I’ll have my “things to do” list pretty much cleared by the time my wife rolls out of bed.

My husband gets up at 4am every morning……..I sleep in until at least 6:30 or 7.

That’s absolutely my house. Right now it’s 8:30am. I’ve been up over 2 hours now, and my wife will roll out around 11.

Take a shower. Make coffee for you. Feed the pack. Let the dogs out. Feed the chickens. Gather eggs. Feed the horse. Muck out the stall. Chase down the dogs. Turn on the computer. Make breakfast. Eat. Email. Go Comics…

That is pretty much my plan going forward. I won’t be getting up pre-5, as I did to go to the office, but I expect to enjoy some quiet morning time.

I don’t have to get up at 3 to go to work anymore but 5 or 6 or 7 is pretty nice also.

right there WITH ya’ Arlo! I love getting up and watch the beginning of a new day. Panel 1 is what I call “GOD waking up!” the quiet, the beauty in the moment…before the world can spoil it!

32 years in the Army. Usually up between 5 and 5:30. Shave, brush teeth, grab a coffee and a smoke, then go for PT with the troop/squadron/regiment. We’d finish just as people were brewing their morning coffee. 50 plus years after I went to basic training and I still wake up between 5 and 5:30. Difference is, I usually just lie there, listen to the morning show on the radio for local, national and international news and sometimes, I just doze off. Now, every day is Saturday

I started getting up before the sun when our kids were little and quiet time was hard to find. Now my kids are grown with little ones of their own, but I still enjoy watching the sunrises.

I wish I was a morning person. On those occasions where I have had to get up early, it is so peaceful and enjoyable.

Replace the cat with two Labrador Retrievers, replace the coffee with a Monster energy drink, and that’s my mornings. Oh, and I wear long pants.

Sunrise is best enjoyed at the end of your day!

Do things that many of us say that we want to do but are too lazy to do it…..

Arlo enjoys the peace and quiet, knowing it will end all too soon.

I started getting up early when I was five or six – so I could watch the Modern Farmer show and check out all the cool equipment.

I was never in the military, I get up most days between 5 & 5:30 without a alarm clock. was great working graveyard shift the last 10 years of my career!!

Everyone who gets up early seems so smug about it. Just like cyclists and vegans.

I like being up late at night. It’s quiet, and the stars are beautiful.

When I was young a got up early. Not anymore.

My wife is up around 3 AM every morning Reads her Bible first while riding her exercise bike. does washing our cloths and some house work . I finally struggle out arond 7 am!!!

Look at the outdoors, what else?

So peaceful! Try it sometime.
