Alright, so Tracy didn’t solve the case all by himself. He had helpers in the department. I’m not sure what Mr. Memory “did perfectly” to avoid being traced, but it’s apparent that his computer may have given him away. I still think that his parole officer likely knows where he was living.

Yeah, it’s too bad we didn’t get a few more details of how Tracy tracked him down. Maybe Ray is right that Mike doesn’t know those details.

Walter’s ready to narc. “I can’t do hard time! Sorry Memory.”

well, that’s the end of THAT… this whole arc crashed and burned… now on to the next storyline starting tomorrow, I’m guessing from this limp ending…

This has got to be the most boring crime ever! The only thing that made this story exciting was the food!

Gotta be honest, this story started promising but all it’s holes quickly deflated it.

Is anyone else really bothered by the Crimestoppers today? That’s never something that I would want to see as a “useful” tip.

I like how the colors in the throwaway represent which officer is who. A$$ over teakettle, just like that. The bike looks bigger today. P. 4. Walter is true blue after all. Time for him to join the mennajury over at the Plenty place unless they let Memory be a one bird “birdman of Alcatraz”.

I don’t recall them tracing or figuring anything out, they just went to the house of the first crook they could think of that was good with computers. It sure is helpful that these criminals keep fleeing / trying to murder Tracy / otherwise implicating themselves to spare Dick the hassle of having to investigate!

You’d have to be pretty dumb to need to be told what to do in the presence of gunfire…

We have a new story tomorrow. Is that the one about the guy who rediscovered a “treasure” in the garage? or was it the basement? Forgot :)

Good thing Mr. Memory wasn’t doing his evil deeds in Uvalde Tx!

If Mr. Memory is so smart, why did he think he could outrun a police cruiser on a bike that had a 50cc engine?

In panel 2 I thought he was in a pond or something!

Crimestopper comment: Training for average folk is Escape as first choice. Hide if escape is not possible. Fight if you have no other option. First responders are supposed to have a different order of priorities… (Some manage that better than others.)

I have to agree with Leo up above. It’s a sad state of affairs if there needs to be a Crimestoppers like that needed, but also in a comic strip.

I think I’ll start back reading Dick Tracy. I used to read it years ago when I was a kid and the original artist Chester Gould drew it. That’s when it was REALLY Dick Tracy!

The so-called “plan” to use B. O. Plenty came out of nowhere. We saw nothing of it. Until it was actually mentioned by B. O., all we ever saw was that the Plenty family was trying to be nice to their new neighbor, and he, in turn, was more or less exasperated by their interruptions, even though he did sort of appreciate the food.

And, “computer wizards” notwithstanding, it wasn’t the technology that pointed Tracy to Memory, it was a video cam at one of the ATMs. As far as we ever saw, Tracy still doesn’t know how the bank thefts were accomplished.

I hate to say it, but this story really didn’t make much sense at all. (Unless we’re not done yet – maybe Mike is throwing us a curve ball.)

Maybe this is a new approach to Tracy, where he just chases the baddies if they look suspicious? Will he be renamed Dick Chasey? I for one and looking for cameos by Mario Andretti, Tom Slick and the entire touring company of WACKY RACES

OK, I missed something. B.O. Plenty still thinks the telegraph is high technology. How was Memory going to use him to “cover his tracks” in a computer crime?

I certainly hope Tracy is lying. I think his real break was Cinnamon Knight coming forward as an informant, and he’s covering for CK by pretending police cybercrime people broke Memory’s system.

I don’t actually think that. I just think my ending is better than “Someone else solved the crime offscreen and Tracy just made the arrest.”

Ah, well, at least Mr.Memory and Walter survived.

Do they actually have a bone sticking out of his leg ? He should be screaming since that memory will last forever !!!

Walter is the only one who gets away, oh he has wings to help him. He’ll probably follow the EMS unit.

From yesterday’s third panel, I thought Memory would end up on the highway.

I went back and looked at it…as he was falling…Memory must have shifted his body.

Calling in some questions, what about those glasses with the hypnotic effect will they be found at his house? What computer program was he working on? What did the money go for? I trust Tracy and Sam will get a warrant for his house to provide some answers.

In today’s strip, Mr. Memory looks like a big boned person. Not roly poly as he was shown at the ATM.

Darn, I was wrong. I predicted Memory would go over the guardrail and fall down a 500 foot cliff.

Walter is so attached to Mr. Memory that he returned to accompany him to the hospital

…a whole department of computer wizards? I only saw one guy, Brock Blaisewahl (Firewall), and he said he was at a standstill.

1-MEMORY: TIME TO BAIL! TRACY WON’T BE ABLE TO FOLLOW ME OVER HERE!

2- …Hmmmm. I underestimated him.

3- … Time to change strategy YOU RAN ME OFF THE ROAD…

4-… I’LL HAVE YOU UP ON FELONY ASSAULT CHARGES!

5-DT: What? Are you thinking that the immediate presence of EMT personnel suggests that I was planning on you being injured or killed? Perish the thought… OR JUST PERISH! Hit the road EMT. Mr. Memory looks ok to me.

MEMORY: WAIT! I WAS JOKING! I’LL CONFESS! WALTER WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR EVERYTHING! ALL HIS IDEA! I WAS AN UNWILLING PAWN IN HIS PLAN!

WALTER: !!!!!!! FINK!

Crimestopper advice is very “DUUUUUUHHHHHHL” today.

I always love how Criminals seem to think they are so smart,,,, Then they get Caught.

What would you prefer? Wave your hands and ask, “Pretty plese, don’t shoot me.”

Oh good! Walter was sent flying, he’s Ok! :D Memory on the other hand, has caught a bad break~! He can’t fix this with a reboot XD

What a shame..great art, boring, truncated story. Please hire a writer.

Memory didn’t deserve this. He seems nice.

Methinks this time Mr. Memory will do the full stretch in THE BIG HOUSE.

Dick will go back to HQ, thank the IT squad for a job well done… then scream “*Nerds!*” and walk off.

I think it would be great if in a few days (maybe next Sunday) there was an epilogue/future storyline tease which shows Matty Squared will possibly profit from Memory’s hacking :)

The downfall of Mr. Memory and his Great Cyber-Scheme!

Possibly “just” a broken leg; and Walter has remained faithful, perched again on Memory’s right shoulder in the penultimate panel. But the fallen villain is still full of rage, especially directed at Tracy, who passes it off with equanimity.

Can this be the end, likewise, of this whole story? There are so many major loose ends, including (but not limited to) the fate of the five plundered banks, the disposition of the stolen money (whatever remains of it), Memory’s instructions to B.O. (what happens if he doesn’t type in the codeword? What happens if he does, for that matter?), etc. Maybe there is still a coda to this tale?

I have to say that I really enjoyed this villain. Kudos to Team Tracy for bring him back from the 1967 pilot. Especially great job to Shelley for rendering him so well. I’ve enjoyed going back and researching Victor Buono’s short but interesting career.

Mr Memory, using your neighbors, after they were good and polite to you, you really are rotten, about robberies, you should have the intelligence to know that crime doesn’t pay!
