The baby and Elvis are missing their nap….And yes Elvis you have the indignity of being treated like an animal. Sigh…..

Boy, I wish I could like this more than once.

What is it they “saw” in that last panel?

It’s not like Elvis to be more upset about his nap than his precious girl’s. It must be sleep deprivation.

The Girl seems to be taking it all in stride, though! I hope that will be some comfort to Elvis in his rage.

Naps are doomed.

That final panel made me think of something from my childhood.

My mother once dropped my sisters and me off at my aunt’s place for the day. While we were there, my aunt made me lie down in a bed while my sisters all got to play (I’m the baby of the family).

I lay in that bed, wide awake and full of jealousy towards my older sisters until my aunt let me get up.

It wasn’t until I was much older that I realized that my aunt must have expected me to take a nap. I didn’t take naps. I couldn’t sleep during the day.

Can somebody point me to the Go Comics list of banned words? I’ve had 3 comments that Go Comics wouldn’t post due to “banned words.” None of the words are ones that anybody would consider to be obscene. None were ones that would be bleeped on network television or make a clergyman blush.

I had a bad day and the Indignant Pawshake of Inconvenience is exactly what I needed.

But at least we get to see Elvis Toe Beans!

Poor Elvis, I mean The Girl. I hate it when my nap schedule is interrupted. This may even be too much for the man and his puppets to overcome (not that they helped too much originally). Don’t worry, if your ambitions follow through, in 20 years you’ll be making all the noise.

It’s great to see that Elvis is maintaining his calm, unflappable dignity in the face of this injustice.

Cats who do not get enough sleep can be VERY irritable. That’s one reason older cats get annoyed with kittens. Kittens just go, go, go until they drop unconscious somewhere – on an older cat, if one is available.

Cats have napping schedules. For example, our one year old always naps around 10 after 7 in the evening. We haven’t made a thorough study but I know she has more scheduled naps.

Just leave Elvis be, he’s on a roll, atop his ‘soap box’.

I contacted GoComics. They are aware of the word problem and are working on it. Remember they apparently have limited resources, so it may take awhile.

Tho she is not drawn this way, I picture The Girl drumming/tapping with the fingers on her right hand. :-)

I just made a complaint to GC about the banned words policy.

I am surprised Elvis is not more concerned about the Girl. But then I imagine he would be extra grumpy if he doesn’t get at least 16 hours a day.

I like that Elvis’ tail is dangling behind Goldie’s head (and behind her speech bubble). Makes panel 3 and panel 4 continuous, if you were to stack them up.
