Why do I feel the game will end with them swatting all the dice under the appliances?

Characteristic rolling styles for both Goldie and Lupin!

Feline frivolous ferocity in action.

I grab my box of dice and roll to see what they get.

Goldie, with the orange foxy D20: 19.

Lupin, with the white sparkle and green D20: 13.

Result: Goldie spots Lupin jumping in to put traps up and follows behind him just where he can’t see her, defusing them while he’s rigging the next one. He’s super proud of his work though.

I think Goldie and Lupin are either playing different games, or playing the game differently. Goldie seems to be taking the quest seriously. Lupin seems to be playing with the dice!

Lupin fires darkness at the Magic Missile—

And causes me to summon “Kupin” again. Sigh. Excuse me while I go fight the Dread Gazebo.

Why do I feel the gang’s going to roll to tie up their rogue?

They’re definitely on a roll now…

Little surprise that Goldie and Lupin are messing with each other. My first D&D campaign was like this. The DM commented that he had never seen a party mess with each other that much.

Questions:

Goldie is rolling for Wisdom, i.e., being smart enough to see any/all the traps. The higher the roll, the greater the wisdom or ability to do what you are attempting?

*No, I have no idea why there’s a Dancing Corsair scholarship for scribe school.

Actually, “trapping the door” for searches is what a really good Dungeonmaster does to keep things from getting too easy.

Great. The Loonie is playing the rogue. . . this so often ends with either the paladin or the cleric bopping the Loonie on the head (either in-game or in real life).

I finally got a ‘negative’ on my COVID test … still feel about like wet string, but the cough is abating now.

Didn’t someone just say yesterday that folks run for cover whenever then see their primary character coming? Lupin’s reminding me of their comment.

Dungeons and Dragons for Cats would be large box they could all fight in and a chihuahua that thinks it’s bigger than it is.
