Yeah Grampa spoil the Grandson not the moment.

There are two kinds of “spoil”. I think he really prefers Pearl’s spoliing. Though Earl’s kind of fun!

PS: Teaching the grandson is also a Darwinian task.

I explained that fact regarding my current role to my daughter-in-law.

I also explained that I didn’t see them enough to do very much damage. She looked extremely relieved.

I believe Grandmothers are more likely to spoil a grandchild.

Grandfathers are generally more likely to be a kid with a grandchild.

We all serve a purpose, even if it is a cautionary tale and/or setting a bad example.

By that logic, elderly cavemen are there to teach the young cavemen how to hunt. But there weren’t a lot of elderly cavemen.

When my oldest grandson was growing up, I used to tell him he was my favorite grandson. To which he’d always reply, “I’m your only one!”

Now, he’ll be 28 on Sunday and is a Dad, himself, and I’ve got four step-grandchildren to spoil. I kidded him about not being my only grandson anymore. He just laughed and said " Yeah, but I got to be with you when you still had the energy to keep up! " … I wasn’t sure how to take that…

I’m so glad a female character didn’t say that. If you think human life is mostly about reproduction, you have my sympathy but not my understanding.

Opal is so proud of Nelson…she’d never admit such an outrageous statement, though, like Earl just did…LOL

Opal looks proud of both of them, I think.

That alone is worth living for.

This could be bitter cartoon if not for Opal’s smile. Personally I like to stay active around the house, fixing and extending our house and yard, making repairs like replacing the kitchen faucet or the mail box out on the road. Maybe I won’t feel so useful in my 80’s. Hmmmm.

I feel the same as Earl.

Don’t forget Earl, it is your job to assist Karma when she visits you children. Now give Nelson a giant Pixie Stick and send him home in hyper mode.

Just spent 2 weeks spoiling grandsons; now they’re back home, and I’m exhausted & broke.

That is a true statement…I do it all the time!

I think we have way more than enough spoiled people on the planet.

I plan on doing that x3 this weekend.

Grandparents should be the spoilers. Unfortunately today so many are raising their g-kids and have to be the parents; can’t just enjoy being grandparents.
