Lol Lupin. Would the Woman really desire a broken lamp? I know Goldie means well but a spider in any form is not something some people enjoy.

Elvis’s fluffy belly AND toebeans? Be still my heart. That last panel is so sweet!

Oh no! The fluffy belly! No vile depression can stand up to that! I’d trade all my kitty beans for just one fluffy belly! Well, maybe not. I’ll trade three kitty beans for one. On second thought, how about trading just one kitty bean? No! Forget it! I want to keep all my kitty beans!!!

Cats are SO comforting most of the time. I know part of Sparky being glued to my lap is part weather cooling down and part being all alone in the house so much due to family drama, but it’s hard to dwell on that drama with a purring cat snuggled up with you. So part helping her Person, too. And by pinning said person down, person in encouraged to get some much needed sleep.

Maat-Tilda: That would be me. Adobe Style and I love to work with fabric. And Sophititi is brilliant with found object sculptures.

Ohariko-San: I wish to introduce my colleagues, the three Tri-Colored Cat Sisters, Kal, Li, and Ko.

Adobe Style: Welcome, one and all. What are your areas of expertise?

Kal-San: I work in faux tortoise shell and other media to create mosaic art.

Li-San: I sculpt with vegan ivory to make decorations and jewelry.

Ko-San: And I make sculptures out of paper.

Sophititi: That’s wonderful. I’ve tried to make papyrus origami, but it’s really too stiff to use.

Ko-San: Perhaps we can find a supply of origami paper while we’re here.

Violet-Ifa: That may take some doing.

Albert adored belly rubs and frequently presented his fluffy tummy for such. Bart seems a little confused as to why the people rub him when he streeeetches out long and arches back, but seems to enjoy it.

No dead spiders for me, please, Goldie. No live ones either.

I am loving Elvis’ naked belly and belly button! Smudge and the Marshmallow Mouse willingly roll over on their backs and let me rub their tummies. I am honoured by their trust in me.

I’m a little nonplussed by all The Belly Is A Trap comments. My experience is that the cats that don’t want belly touching won’t display their belly. Or maybe it’s a matter of x belly pets but not x+1 belly pets? Cami sometimes digs her razor claws (because she’s an outside cat) into my hand when I’m rubbing her belly, but it’s always to pull my hand in for more, and if I cooperate I don’t get hurt.

As my dearly departed grandmother used to say, “Can’t never did nothing but go up on a hill and die.” or in this case become a couch burrito.

It’s time to get up, get to work and figure a way out of this mess.

My Elsa, a very spunky snowshoe who is quite a bit like Elvis, does the big eyes and belly show… she looks like a cute otter with her paws all curled up over her chest and appears to be inviting a belly rub. Don’t be fooled. She’s lying. What she’s really doing is lying in wait for any fool who would dare touch her tummy so she can then bite them and run away, where she will then find a doorway to pull the same trick!

A few minutes with three cats on top of you will get you out of the fuzzy blanket and doing things. Partly it is the love but also the fact that it quickly gets to be 140 degrees inside. :)

I LOVE Elvis’ face in the last panel. also, I will ALWAYS want an old, dead, spider. ;) and the li’l army crawl just about melted my heart.

No, Lupin. Just no. Plus, the man is out rummaging behind a storage units firm looking for old boxes no longer being used.

When MrrrCavity rolled over on his back while I was petting him, and actually let me rub his tummy, I felt so honored. Actually all our cats like a certain amount of belly rubs. For Waffle, that certain amount is always, “More!”

Puck has the best thought out approach.

O.T. Thanks to all for the hugs, purrs, prayers, virtual candles, good thoughts and good advice after my comment yesterday. Most of you probably know the old song about rainy days and Mondays. Sometimes things just pile up and I get a bit (okay, a lot) overwhelmed, but I feel much better today. The Orb dispenses great medicine!
