We want to buy your house; missed delivery; Medicare supplement plan; verification; your account is about to expire; Zillow special offer; Free video doorbell; confirmation receipt; debt relief. I guess they’ve given up on the hot singles who want to meet me.
The Vogons are responsible for the destruction of the Earth, in order to facilitate an intergalactic highway construction project for a hyperspace express route.
Earth had a chance to file a formal complaint, the forms were posted on lpha Centarwi for the last 50 years.
If life can develop here then it is certainly possible for life to develop on other planets in the galaxy as well. But there is a leap of faith to “should be full of technologically advanced aliens.” Why? Of course it only takes one or two cultures to make contact with us, so the effort is not necessarily totally wasted. Except we should ask ourselves why they would bother wanted to contact us?
I was introduced to the Fermi Paradox by Dr. Isaac Arthur, a theoretical physicist who posts amazing videos on space and related topics online. Good stuff.
Considering the number of factors that permitted life to develop in our solar system, we can’t rule out that life may be a pretty rare thing in the universe, and intelligent life even rarer.

They Have contacted us.
But, the Cat they contacted told them we weren’t interested unless they could provide lots of fresh Tuna.
Being Fish people, they were offended and put us on the Exclusion list until we become Civilized.
