Well, I’ll admit I’m not getting flooded, but really, weren’t we praying for rain last year about this time? “Be careful what you wish for…” and all that.
Very dry April here. Thankfully, age made me give up gardening and its other frustrations. That and the cost increase of our village water to remove radium to legal levels.
Our rains started in January and have now mostly stopped, so everywhere we are awash with wild flowers – acres of them all over So. Cal. Don’t know about the rest of the state.
It was 92 here last Thursday, the flowers have been out and are drooping in the heat. There is some rain in the forecast for this week. I sure hope it happens.
