Coming Soon š At the beginning of April, youāll be
introduced to a brand-new GoComics! See more information here. Subscribers, check your
email for more details.
Yesterday evening, I watched again the episode of Alfred Hitchcock Presents which was an adaption of āA Man Greatly Belovedā by A. A. Milne. The main character and narrator was a little girl called Hildegard who was very intelligent and mischievous so she reminded me a great deal of both Calvin and Susie. Hildegard was played by a child actor called Evelyn Rudie. I looked her up on Wiki and found that she became a director herself although not nearly as successful as the great Alfred Hitchcock.
The Count literally LOL at that one. ā¤ļø Suzyās zombie face in the third panel. :) Great way to start the day with the first comic read, boy howdy! Dilly! Dilly!
You would have thought by now, Calvin, would have learned (paraphrase), āItās not conducive to his health and well being to ātick offā Susie ā ! ! ! !
Makes me feel like that supposed electrician that took my money and a year later nothing to show for it. (Fixture Electric get your Vaseline youāre gonna need it)
[Verse 1]Thatās life (Thatās life), thatās what all the people sayYouāre riding high in April, shot down in MayBut I know Iām gonna change that tuneWhen Iām back on top, back on top in June
[Verse 2]I said, thatās life (Thatās life), and as funny as it may seemSome people get their kicks stompinā on a dreamBut I donāt let it, let it get me downāCause this fine old world, it keeps spinning around
[Chorus]Iāve been a puppet, a pauper, a pirate, a poet, a pawn and a kingIāve been up and down and over and out, and I know one thingEach time I find myself flat on my faceI pick myself up and get back in the race
[Verse 3]Thatās life (Thatās life), I tell ya, I canāt deny itI thought of quitting, babyBut my heart just aināt gonna buy itAnd if I didnāt think it was worth one single tryIād jump right on a big bird and then Iād fly
[Chorus]Iāve been a puppet, a pauper, a pirate, a poet, a pawn and a kingIāve been up and down and over and out, and I know one thingEach time I find myself laying flat on my faceI just pick myself up and get back in the raceYou might also likeDid you know that thereās a tunnel under Ocean BlvdLana Del ReyLowSZALove LanguageSZA[Verse 3]Thatās life (Thatās life), thatās life and I canāt deny itMany times I thought of cutting out but my heart wonāt buy itBut if thereās nothing shaking come this here JulyIām gonna roll myself up in a big ball and dieMy, my āKelley Gorden and Dean Kay, recorded by F. Sinatra
If someone offered to sell me ālife,ā Iād be pretty disturbed. What could that mean? That theyāll kill me if I donāt pay? Or kill someone else? That theyāll make me responsible for a baby, or a pet, or some other organism? Everything that I can think of sounds pretty unappealing.
