One of the bits from the comedian Gallagher back in the 80’s, guy dressed up ‘country’ is like a lady at a party. Big ol’ floppy hat, pointed shoes with heels, and the difference is the country guy has his arms akimbo, elbows out and the party lady, arms akimbo elbows inward.
I bought a pair of 3/4 boots in 1969. A time when handmade shoes were made in the USA. Brooks Brothers? So comfortable I had them resoled several times.
High heels on cowboy boots were to keep the foot from slipping completely through the stirrup and allowing the person to be dragged if there was a problem with the horse. That is all.
I was horrified to discover when I got to church yesterday that I was wearing my slippers (old clogs) and left my shoes sitting by the door at home! Embarrassing but comfortable.
Of all the shoes I’ve had over my long life, I must say that a pair cowboy boots I had in the early 1980s was probably the most comfortable of them all.
I’ve worn nothing else on my feet for 60+ years. Very easy on the feet. I have the feet of a teenager. I keep them in an old tool box but I do like wearing boots.
He’s right. I had a pair of well broken in cowboy boots which were the most comfortable of all my shoes. She doesn’t understand that a shoe that perfectly fits your foot is the ultimate.
She has a sharp tongue and he has a thick skin and a sense of humor. I read once that cowboy boots are not only comfortable but the heels are good for your back
I say as a woman, we wear high heels, we wear makeup, push up bras, corsets, girdles, tights, panty hose etc. So why does it matter if a man wears a boot for height? Or lifts? No different no matter how ya put it. If it boosts their confidence about themselves or whatever the reason so be it.

Two Presidential candidates wear high-heels, but only one of them wears cowboy boots.

Heels force you to have shoulders back and stand up straight as a result.

When Earl bought his first pair of penny loafers, only Indian Head cents could be put in them.

Huh. Opal dishes out some contempt toward Earl, and the next thing you know, contempt is flying around in the comments section!

OK, I still can’t look at boots with the pant cuffs tucked inside. Not even on a comic strip.

Those aren’t REAL cowboy boots—no sequins, no gaudy paint, no turned up toes. . .my gawd, man, don’t you read the fashionistas???

Does it really matter what a man wears? If woman can wear male clothes, why not the reverse.. lol

How many people who have them find cowboy boots to really be comfortable and something that you would want to wear all the time?
