The comics are out of sync. Elly already saw him with a beard on Sunday, 2 days ago.

Elly’s reaction is far different than last Sunday’s. Think she’s about to faint?

That’s quite a bit of hair growth in three months, facial and otherwise.

This is why I’m upset with the Sunday strip. I think the two strips should have been switched out in order for the story to run smoothly.

After trying to grow a “beard” by not shaving for two weeks, I was picked up at college and my mother asked, “Did you forget to shave this morning?”

It was several years before I tried again.

My oldest grew a full beard once he was out of the house. Since he’s 7’2", he looks like Grizzly Adams

What does this have to do with Farley or Lawrence?

The 60s Michael would be a beatnik, and he kind of looks like Maynard G. Krebs… the G stood for Gilligan!

Michael looks slightly less scruffy than he did in the Sunday strip. It almost looks like he is considering losing the mustache in favor of a Shenandoah beard.

(For those wondering what that is, it is a beard without mustache, most often associated with President Lincoln and Surgeon General Koop).

OK, so what if he looks a little like Uncle Phil? At least he doesn’t look 13 anymore!

If that little goatee is supposed to surprise us, it shouldn’t have been shown in Sunday’s strip.
