It seems like a pretty good disguise. I don’t think people would recognize easily that The Amazing Baxter is actually Fata Morgana. She says that Baxter “fills in while the heat is on” “until it is safe for Fata to return.” I wonder how long that will take. Also, how long will it take for Tracy to figure out that Baxter is really Fata?

Member Lawrence S was 100% correct with his post 24 January 2024 suggesting Bob Baxter the Magician was Morgana’s alter ego and vice versa – hiding in plain sight. Very clever thinking on Lawrence S part. Gold star Sherlock Holmes award.

And now we understand the strange wording on P2 of yesterday’s strip: it was Fata speaking, and in this specific context it does make sense that she spoke of both “Fata” and “Bob Baxter” in the third person.

Bit of an update on my Dad. Still hasn’t woken up which is very bad. Trying to get an MRI of the brain done hopefully tomorrow (a stent in his shoulder is holding things up). Sister is coming in for the weekend from MS (she’s a doctor and since she’s in the liver transplant program, you really don’t want to see her because it is grim). Things are going to come to a head this weekend one way or the other. Thanks for the well wishes.

Btw, I do actually enjoy this story a lot. Huge Doctor Who fan so that inclusion was great, and I’m interested to see where this twist takes us next.
