    Republicans WANT a dictator.

    .

If Biden actually were a dictator, they would want him, but he’s not and they don’t.

And so, Mon. July 15 thru Thu. July 18, we here in Wisconsin get an up-close seat to see the clown crowned, as the Republican National Convention convenes in Milwaukee to tell us all how thrilling it’s going to be once Disaster Pumpkin gets another shot at making America gag again. I’d hate to have to be the janitors at the Fiserv Forum who have to clean up all that jïzz every night. Ick!

Maybe we’ll get lucky and one of his many trials will be scheduled for that week, and they’ll expect him to be there in person for it.

Many want a dictator because they believe that their desired strongman will get rid of everything that impedes a better life and everyone who is the enemy. They are oblivious to what Pogo said about meeting the enemy.

The Demented Fat Orange Clown’s promise to be a dictator. This is from HCR’s column:

Trump’s 2024 campaign website calls for “fundamentally reevaluating NATO’s purpose and NATO’s mission,” and in a campaign speech in South Carolina today, he made it clear what that means. Trump has long misrepresented the financial obligations of NATO countries, and today he suggested that the U.S. would not protect other NATO countries that were “delinquent” if they were attacked by Russia. “In fact,” he said, “I would encourage [Russia] to do whatever the hell they want.”

That last remark seems a bit too perceptive for Pumpkin Hitler. It implies a sense of irony that in reality he clearly lacks.

Brilliant comic. Insurrectionist45 is a sexual predator, a tax cheat, an insurrectionist (impeached by the House for inciting one), he made the U.S. government pay his businesses millions of dollars for services such as housing his Secret Service agents while in office, he’s a racist/sexist, and, as Trudeau points out, he’s normalized all these aberrations and his followers say all accustions are politically motivated.

In context, in response to Sean Hannity asking, "You’re not going to be a dictator, are you?”, Donald Trump replied. “I said: ‘No, no, no, other than day one. We’re closing the border and we’re drilling, drilling, drilling. After that, I’m not a dictator.”

If you are basing believing that Donald Trump will be a dictator on that, you are mistaken. Saying “Closing the border” is not dictatorial (in the sense of being a dictator) – it’s more of an executive order kind of thing. It’s saying he plans to do his job (unlike what Joe Biden has done) of protecting our nation at our borders.

And saying “we’re drilling, drilling, drilling” is aspirational – like saying we’re going to get back to the project we we working on before Joe Biden so foolishly/thoughtlessly cancelled it (and got us into trouble where Joe began begging our adversaries for oil).

If one accepts that Trump would be a dictator by using the same action that Biden used, then one accepts that Biden was a was a dictator and continues to be a dictator.

From his own mouth Trump would give Europe to Putin. That is Treason in my book, and there is only one penalty for Treason. . . It sure would solve a lot of problems.

After enduring the venomous and vitriolic hyperbole of Trudeau and others, it is basically understandable WHY great glee is taken in the misery and repercussions caused by official government reports which present and outline in no uncertain language the current administration’s woeful, tragic and dangerous circumstances. I could say: “Trudeau!” “Get a life!” Sadly, he has. He and all of the haters are continually depriving themselves of needed rest and common pleasures to further their pure unadulterated hate.

In the event all of the hater’s hate has fallen short of the goal - somewhere around November - I want to be around and about to observe the weeping, wailing and gnashing of teeth. The oceans will rise and the noise deafening. Vengeance can be such sweet justice. Say what you will. It draws neigh. You sense it! You know it!

Readers who want to see Biden insulted have the option of reading comic strips that are in the process of insulting Biden even as we sit . I’m sure there are plenty of them, and I’m equally sure that their artists mention Trump about as often as Trudeau mentions Biden. As is their prerogative, just as it is Trudeau’s prerogative. You don’t go to a pizzeria and ask for a gyro.

Could a dictator hold power legitimately? I can imagine a future dictator being legitimately elected, but then illegitimately holding on to power.

I could imagine a system in which a king has absolute power, but his successor is elected on his death or retirement. Would the king be a dictator? Would the word “dictator” be insulting?

Supposedly (I read it on Yahoo years ago; no one’s required to believe me), while in office, Trump explored the possibility of repealing the Twenty-Second Amendment, suggesting that the title “President-for-Life” was on his mind as well. Just think, if he’d pulled that off, a third party might have swooped in for the win and BOOM it would have been Obama 2016. Then we would’ve had four more years of Obama. Or eight more years. Or twelve more. Or sixteen. And Republicans wouldn’t have been able to say anything because it would’ve been all Trump’s fault! LOL :-D

Such did not come to pass, of course.

Today’s news is full of how the “genius” would tell Russia to “go for it” on any NATO country behind in its dues. That’s “diplomatic genius” of a very unusual kind.

Having obtained an emergency furlough, a soldier walks onstage during a Trump rally and yells—“HERE’S Nikki Haley’s husband!”—-and knocks Trump out with one punch.
