They caught a guy locally making “ghost guns” in his house and selling them to anyone with the money! (A ghost gun is a gun made up of pieces bought or made that have no serial numbers and are untraceable)

I’ll say this much. As an American, and a patriot, I do support our right to the 2nd Amendment of the U.S. Constitution. However, unless we’re living out ‘Red Dawn’ in real life, I don’t see it necessary for us all to load up on some of the more powerful guns and ammo “just because we can”. Having some to do hunting of wild game or defending yourself from a single threat (burglar, night stalker, etc.) is fine, but not a whole arsenal to wipe out people. There are already enough insane people in this country and allowing them access to those weapons is just asking for trouble. (I’m envisioning that guy in “The Jerk” who’s trying to shoot at Navin Johnson.)

Everyone knows you buy guns at a gun show – they’re completely untraceable and no background checks are required.

Never cared much for firearms, even though I grew up in the South. I do have a very nice pellet pistol that I target shoot with. It’s fun and a skill, but I don’t know if I could use it to harm anyone. I suppose I could if I had to, but it’s not something I dwell on.

When I first started following this strip it was mostly about the crocodiles and zebras, so I’m pleased when Stephen occasionally comes up with another gag for them.
