HELMET!!!!!!! Where’s the freakin’ helmet????

Maybe depth perception is a problem, too.

Reminds me of that great motorcycle/horse chase scene in “True Lies”.

Lucy is right. She has horse sense.

She has always reminded me of Sarah Vowell (“Assassination Vacation”) for one.

In my college horse-riding class, I used to ride a horse like that (wearing a helmet, as required). One day I approached a little streamlet of water about the same size as in the strip, with the same determined attitude … and came to the same ignoble end (although my horse did actually make the jump—excessively so). When my instructor (of course I had to do it in front of him) finally stopped laughing, he said that my horse had jumped up about 5 feet to get over that little trickle (that all the other horses had stepped over), and, as I was catapulted over his head, I had tucked and rolled, doing a complete 360 flip in the air, landing on my upper back (thank you, 8th grade tumbling class). Shaken, but unhurt, I remounted and continued the riding lesson. SoCal horses do not like water!

I think we can assume that Lucy won’t be an enterant in the Grand National.

Fear of Gravity or a newfound respect for Physics.

What bothers me is when the kids turn up the gravityometer; they seem to crank it up just as I’m getting done with work.

That is quite a large ditch … NOT!

Lucy, you obviously have issues.

Somehow I picture Danae Pyle and Calvin growing up, meeting, getting married and living unhappily ever after while Lucy and Hobbs have a wonderful relationship.

Gravity works over time here.

Enclosed (or mainly enclosed) bodies of water include puddles, pools, ponds, lakes, seas, and oceans.

I guess it depends on which side of caution you land.
