Gramma suffers a bit of OCD!!

I’m ok with that, I use paper plates and if they’re not dirty, I reuse them.

I thought Earl’s part was eating.

Obviously he didn’t do it right/good enough to satisfy her.

Just myself, I eat right out of the pan I cooked in.

When a man says he would do anything for his woman, he meant fighting off bad guys and slaying dragons. Not doing laundry or cleaning the kitchen!

“Gramma clean” at our house involves nothing sticky on the counter and all the pillows piled correctly on the beds. “Grampa clean” is how it gets after Gramma points out the sticky places.

Been there!

Gramma clean: “Let me wash that spot off your face with this handkerchief I moistened with my spit.”

Whenever I start to clean our kitchen, I can feel Mom’s breath on the back of my neck from when I was her kitchen ‘helper’ decades back. : )

Nelson which clean do you prefer ? Grampa or Gramma …

I’ve been using the term “bachelor clean” for years.

I learned a long time ago, when you have a dog that knows how to play checkers you don’t criticize his game. Opal seems to understand that.

After his retirement, my Dad decided to take on doing the dishes after dinner. Mom relieved him of duty because he didn’t wipe off the kitchen counter to her standard (which was part of the job apparently).

Here was a man who fought in the Korean war, spent 17 years in law enforcement (including 7 as Chief of Police in a small city), and another 20+ in various supervisory and management rolls in a large underground mine.

He said the only job he was ever fired from washing dishes in his own house. :D

Been there, cleaned that. Then, so did my wife!

Gramma uses plenty of Clorox wipes.

Anytime I do anything for my wife she checks my work by touching everything. When we were first married I thought I was doing it wrong, I wasn’t doing it wrong she just needed to touch it or adjust it to make it real to her.

My husband always apologizes for make a mess when he cooks. I keep telling him I don’t care. Doing dishes and cleaning the kitchen is something I like to do. For me, it’s quiet time to think, make lists, watch the birds and critters from the window. Vacuuming? NOPE. Hate it. So, he does it.

There’s three way to do things. The right way, the wrong way, and the way that I do it.

My wife can find crumbs or whatever no matter how well I think I clean the kitchen counters, etc. Maybe she uses infrared?

Yethsir! After catching the wife re-vacuuming the rugs, never again for that ’n other chores within the house! OBTW, I DID clear the dinner table and load the dishwasher most of the time however.

Now, where did I put my fire hose …?

Why bother to help at all?

I have criticized Opal many times about what she does or says, however, this time I’m with her. I would be mighty surprised if Earl’s cleaning (of anything) is anywhere near satisfactory.

My wife and I both do the dishes and clean the kitchen depending on who has the most time. I can guarantee you that it is considerably cleaner when I do it. She will back me up on that statement.

Normally my wife washes the dishes in the evening and I put them away first thing the next morning. On occasion a pan will feel a bit greasy and I will do some supplemental cleaning before putting it away.

My husband cooks and cleans the kitchen.
