Never in my life did I rent a movie that came in a box only marked “VIDEO”. ;-)

That’s sweet, for a change.

What’s the movie—MY BEST FRIEND’S WEDDING?? For those who have never seen it, Julia Roberts played a woman whose ex-BF becomes engaged to Cameron Diaz, and she then decides she wants him back. IMO, Julia’s character was a Grade-A b!tch, and I’m glad her scheming was unsuccessful in the end.

Hugs are special.

I love watching movies with my daughters. They’re 19 and almost 22 (in 2 weeks) now, and we still all sit & snuggle – me between them – while watching everything from Japanese anime to Disney classics.

A sweet one. Moms can always sense these things.

It seems this is all Ellie could do to buffer what Elizabeth is feeling. This is called an “experience” for Lizzie and it can’t be helped.

Mothers are like that, you know.

Sometimes moms can be better than a spoon full of sugar.

I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of getting hugs! :0)

Elly’s a good mom.

We don’t see much of Elly as a single woman, but Elly was recollecting a story to Connie about when she was a teenager and in love with a boy known as Colin Winch. This was in the B.A. era (Before April)! :P

As my mom used to say, “That’s why God made mothers!”

Everybody needs their mom, even when they get on your nerves. I miss my mom. Never take advantage of your mom being there when you need them. My mom and I would talk 3 to 4 times a day. After she passed, I wanted to tell her something and I picked up the phone and realized mom wasn’t here anymore. I still miss her horribly. It’s been 9.5 years ago.

Mothers always seem to have the cure for whatever ails you.

I like that this arc shows the other side of a breakup. We often think the person that dumped us is living life without a bit of remorse. There is sometimes a good amount of self doubt and second guessing involved… even when you know that you did the right thing.

This is 2024. Elly would be taking to the streets with Elizabeth, John, Michael and April; all chanting “Eh eh, oh oh, Justin Trudeau’s got to go!”

Moms are the best.

All these comments about miss Mom’s, even my own comments, are making me so sad and I am now crying because I miss my Mom so much and wish I could be with her instead of being so far apart. Those that still have your Mom’s and they live close never go a day without seeing them or talking to them and tell them every chance you get that you love them.

Did Elly HAVE to pick Ali McGraw in LOVE STORY??
