Coming Soon 👀 At the beginning of April, you’ll be
introduced to a brand-new GoComics! See more information here. Subscribers, check your
email for more details.
April is pre-school age and ready to learn how to behave in public. Not every kid that age can handle it. Most kids that behave badly in public simply have parents that won’t say no to them or teach them any manners. In our family kids went everywhere. Weddings, funerals, restaurants, movies, etc – but if they acted up, parents would tell them to knock it off or the kid would get a whack on the behind, sometimes from more than one relative. Fortunately the warning was usually sufficient because we kids knew our parents meant what they said and they would follow through if we didn’t listen.
I grew up hearing the old saw, “a stitch in time saves nine” which my Dad said had something to do with Einstein’s Theory of Relativity but when I much later took a course in relativity the prof said, “no you’re thinking of Benjamin Franklin.”
When Arthur C. Clarke, who wrote 2001: A Space Odyessy was asked about HAL, he answered “It was not my decision to name the computer HAL, that was Stanley’s! My idea was to call the computer Athena, and it would have a feminine voice and personality. I don’t know why Mr. Kubrick made it HAL, but I have been apologizing to all men I ever met named Harold since then.”
Did anyone else notice the guy with the smiling eyes behind April when she asked that question? There is probably more tolerance of kids at a school concert than some suggest.

It seems Ms. Johnston didn’t know that punchline had already been used in Peanuts years earlier.

Considering the attitude of many of God’s followers, mercy is in short supply.

So nice to see Praise of God in a comic strip and popular culture in general.
Let’s all work to ensure that we praise God daily in our lives and spread the good news of Jesus Christ everywhere!

Worked for a boss named Harold years ago. One Christmas, we started calling him Hark. Lasted a while, as I recall.
