Yeah, no, no happy ending to the election. JFK’s term has been called Camelot. In January, Sauron is reopening Mt Doom.

But really, I accept the outcome but it could stand a theme song. Everybody Knows.

Everybody knows that the dice are loadedEverybody rolls with their fingers crossedEverybody knows the war is overEverybody knows the good guys lostEverybody knows the fight was fixedThe poor stay poor, the rich get richThat’s how it goesEverybody knowsEverybody knows that the boat is leakingEverybody knows that the captain liedEverybody got this broken feelingLike their father or their dog just diedEverybody talking to their pocketsEverybody wants a box of chocolatesAnd a long-stem roseEverybody knows

As my wonderful Dutch wife keeps reminding me, they voted him in, they will get the government that they deserve. Me, I have been actually speechless for the last few days. Then I remember that I bugged out in ‘85, so it really has nothing to do with me. Never been happier with my decision, no regrets. I sometimes try to imagine my life there, now, if I had stayed…scary.

My first Presidential Election was 1972. The Constitution had just been amended to give 18-year-olds the right to vote. Alleged felon Richard Nixon defeats decent human being George McGovern in an absolute landslide. Fast forward to 2024. Convicted felon and all-around horrible human being Donald Trump defeats decent human being Kamala Harris in an absolute landslide. How far we have come as a nation. I’ve spent the last half-century obsessing about what crap the Republicans are going to try next. No more! Screw it! Eff politics! The re-election of Trump has been strangely liberating for me. I have a good life. I’m going to enjoy it.

America has elected its first criminal/traitor president before electing its first female president. What a day for proud felonists/traitors.

    maga-

-Seniors voted to gut Social Security.

-Men voted for their wives and daughters to die from miscarriages.

    -Immigrants voted for deportation raids.

-Poor people voted for tax cuts for billionaires.

-Women voted to have fewer rights than men.

-Police voted for a convicted felon.

    good job magats

Apparently economics (that is, inflation) was the primary drive for voting for Trump. So Americans are willing to throw their mothers, sisters, wives, and daughters, not to mention the whole country, under the bus, just for a chance to avoid being hungry

If you can distance yourself from the tragedy that was Tuesday – and I ain’t sayin’ that’s easy – there are certainly many things to marvel over here. For instance, as soon as the presidential election was called for Trump, poof, all suspected voter fraud and rigged elections didn’t exist. The orange guy talked about it all day up to this point, and so did his followers out there on social media. I suspect that voter fraud and rigged elections will suddenly become a non-issue to Republican politicians at every level across the country. The other thing to marvel over was that Democrats refused to act like cry-baby Republicans after they lost. (I mean, they’re only human. How could they not want to drop down to Trump’s level after watching his whiny routine all these years?) Mrs. Harris didn’t start yelling and screaming that the election was rigged, and I know she won’t spend the next four years yelling and screaming that the election was stolen as the orange guy did from 2020 to 2024, the same orange guy that actually did try to steal an election, the same orange guy that never conceded that he lost in 2020, the same orange guy that didn’t attend the 2021 inauguration because he had to run home and change his diaper, the same orange guy that America just reelected.

All, I read a number of your comments on the election. Can we all put our feelings for Trump Trump aside for 60 seconds. The Democrats ran a stupid campaign. That stunt with SNL, that exposed Harris to 4.5 million viewers for about three minutes, what was that? Trump sat down with Joe Rogan for three hours and got 50 million listeners. X, has more people than the population of the country, 106 million Americans alone. And, back when it was called twitter the left had facebook and twitter both.

Let’s face it, they relied on legacy media.

So, I guess GoCowards are going to leave comments off on the political cartoons? I thought they were supposed to be back after the election. I’m not surprised and thought this was going to be the outcome regardless of who won the election. Cowardice in the media is the baseline anymore outside of the RWNJ-media.

There’s one silver lining: subversive, antiauthoritarian humor is always best directed at those in power, so Mr. Bolling faces a far more target rich future than if the government continued to be run by normal, boring people. If the “we’re not a democracy / but he said ‘peacefully’ / she’s not his type” crowd here weren’t triggered enough recently, wait til his anger and infirmities are writ large on the world stage instead of just at his rallies and on truth social. Come January 20, they ain’t seen nothing yet!

F&$k america and f&$K americans. I have since elementary school known that this country is filled with the dumbest, backward, most unsophisticated, uncultured, racist white trash there is on this planet. Now at 57, i’ve traveled a good part of this world, seen it for myself and this election has proven me absolutely correct. The best thing that could happen for this plant now is for America and Americans to be destroyed and get wiped off of it. I have washed my hands of this plutocratic cesspool of racism, misogyn, and consumption. Unity? F&$k that. Loyalty? F&$k that. Patriotism? F&$k you personally. I may be forced to live here but I am absolutely Not of here. I don’t owe this country anything. Burn it down clowns, burn it all down.

While scratching you head over the results of this election, Consider this:

“According to Google Trends, searches for “Did Joe Biden drop out” started spiking around 6 a.m. on election day and continued to rise over the course of the day until reaching its peak at midnight.

It then started to spike again around 8 a.m. the day after.

Prior to election day, there were virtually no such searches.

President Biden, of course, dropped his re-election bid in July."

What does this say about the American electorate?

    Anybody?
