Now if only Calvin could reach out to whoever is in control of the weather.

Just try finding a judge that never went to school either.

Well, if the good book was the “Calvin and Hobbs Portable Compendium”, I’d be OK with that.

I have sat in a classroom on hot, hazy days. In those days no AC, not even fans. Ick.

But most kids would rather be at the beach in that kind of weather, Calvin.

Well, look at it this way, Calvin… If there weren’t any compulsory school attendance laws, there’s a decent chance that you would be working in a factory all day..

That ain’t no Judge Judy.

Growing up, I lived on a farm in northwest Ohio. It was gray all winter.

Calvin could study and become a lawyer and then a judge and then he could “save the world” for little kids everywhere hahahaha

Hot, Hazy, and Humid, mmm, summer in Washington, D.C. (Or just about any day in Biloxi, MS)

Calvin is showing early signs of depression so it’s probably hereditory.

So, basically, only people in the southern states would go to school.

At least this speech is mostly benign. Different from his usual.

I say a prayer for people who have to work outside in bad weather. I say a special prayer for those who have to live out in it.

School………always the main topic!!!!

I’m thinking Calvin would lose consciousness on a hot, humid day while sitting at a school desk …. aka falling asleep. I don’t know if climate change was a thing back when I was in school because I don’t remember having super hot days in Michigan in Sept when school started, nor did we have any really hot days arrive before we got out of school in the first week of June. Or maybe I was in a financially poor school district, and we never had air conditioning in our schools. I do know we rarely were allowed to open the windows in school because it was deemed too distracting to the students to allow for this.

So, he’d only make you go to school if it was Florida.

If each student has to call the judge individually, that would be one busy judge.

Basically the exact opposite of how the school year normally works where Calvin lives. Hopefully the school has a good HVAC system in place!

No factory work for Calvin either. He knows a judge.

Being such a Motorhead when I hear the word Judge I think of a Pontiac GTO called The Judge. 1968 The Judge GTO!!!
