Pig’s dialogue in the first panel made me think that slavery would have something to do with today’s strip. I’m glad it didn’t; some things are never funny.

I like the way this strip often has a tongue in cheek way of pointing out things that should be noted without getting political. Or offensive.

There was a bimbo on TV that said Americans are more concerned about grocery prices than TOP SECRET LEAKS today. That is why we are where we are today!

Goat, some people will remain ignorant no matter how many years of study they accumulate. I have known some very ignorant college professors. Take them out of their area of expertise and they’ve got nothing. For some disciplines, take them out of their chosen narrative and show them sources that contradict it, and they implode.

God doesn’t want Rat to have them. Rat just wants to steal them because he can. I think he may have been encouraged by some chapters in the American history books, if you know what I mean.

Ah yes, Manifest Destiny. It occurs to me that Spaniards, French, Russians or others would have taken the land if the Americans hadn’t done it. It was the age of conquest. The Indians didn’t have a chance.

It is an ironic tragedy that nation that paints itself to be the world’s great beacon of freedom & equality was built by slave labor on land stolen by genocide.
