Tiffany is getting more and more red by the day (and I don’t mean her budget).

Okay, Tiffany. Time to throw out the “red challenge flag.”

Show up at Your Dad’s place of work unexpectedly and before lunch when Ann is likely to sneak in, and say:

“Dad? I’m sorry to show up so unexpectedly, but Ann was telling Me that you are having money issues. I don’t want to be the cause of that, so I’m dropping out of college and finding a job. But Always know that I love you for EVERYTHING you’ve ever done for me. And One day I’ll make you proud!” – Tiffany

And with ANY luck, Tom will say LOUDLY, *WHAT MONEY TROUBLES??" And then Tiff can lay on him the truth of what Ann’s REALLY been doing.

And in the unlikely event that Ann’s telling the truth, well Tiffany will have to drop college out anyway. She should talk to Al and Irma. I’m fairly sure there’s a guest bedroom at the Gray’s estate (Les’ old room). Maybe they’ll let her stay there until she gets on her feet. Al may even float Tiff a loan so she can travel to Paris to work with Simone learning the clothing trade.

One thing for sure. Even if Ann Eiffel suddenly walked on the waters, Tiffany shouldn’t believe a single word coming out of that Witches mouth.

Ditch the middlewoman and go see Tom. what he doesn’t spend on you she will spend on herself! she better not try to mother Tiff.

Sigh, Ann…HER tuition alone trumps your Filet Mignon…that is so wasteful. She is working toward an education. Now you want to talk about COUNSELING??? That is all on YOU. You caused it and are STILL the problem and the reason. Tom does not have money issues – YOU do. You need more credit to spend money on a card. Tiffany? Wise up. Go and talk with your dad about Ann cutting her off.

Ann kinda has a point…..a small one, but still a point.

And Tiff, shouldn’t you be talking to Dad about this? Consider your present source of information.

The dorm and tuition are both because Tiffany’s father insisted. Tiffany didn’t want to go to college. So all Tiffany has to do is volunteer to go work for Souffle Lingerie, and I’ll bet Ann would start singing a different tune…

He can’t afford a high-maintenance daughter AND a golddigger.

I’d be willing to bet Tom’s financial problems showed up about the time Ann did.

I get it that you want some drama in the strip…but Ann is way overdue to be dealt with. Either she needs to go the way of Dirk, or she needs to be brought to justice. And….where is Delta?

Hey all you Ann haters – We ARE dealing with a little brat here. $317 in one month for makeup! With that kind of focus – I’d like to know how Tiffany has done in any of her college courses. And Ann the grifter may have some money of her own. Today’s round went to Ann.

Hey all you Tiffany haters -We ARE dealing with a raven haired middle aged brat here. I don’t remember any mention of Tom being in any financial troubles before Ann showed up. This round ain’t over yet.

Kinda ironic, Ann bringing up Tiffany’s makeup bill from last month. When was nearly indicted last year for counterfeit retail. (I think)

DAE read Ann Offal’s lines in Wendy Malick’s voice? For some reason she is the only character on the strip to whom my brain decided to cast a voice actor.

Yes Ann does have a point but Tiff and Tom need to talk.

Shoulda put her butt in jail during the underwear scam.

I think if Tiffany suddenly stops spending on her credit card, it would be a giant red flag to her father that something is seriously wrong. However, it sounds like Ann is spending her dad’s money, so he might not be monitoring his finances well enough.

Gads I HATE Ann! Choke on your dinner meat!

Tiffany needs to follow Ann’s example. Ann probably spends only $217 a month on makeup.

It’s hard to asses this, but one thing for sure, Ann has come in the spend Tom’s money and control Tiffany’s. It’s almost if she is a mother-in-law already. I have to agree with the point that both are big spendthrifts, but Ann still has control. Why Tiffany cannot talk to her dad all by herself is beyond me. We await developments.

She should gather all that have had dealings with this woman and go see Dad. I’m surprised she doesn’t have a record.

I need to see Ann get what’s coming to her. Why does the bad guy need to triumph so much in this comic?

Why is Tiffany even listening to this? Nothing Ann says is remotely credible…..

I know a woman like Tiffany. I used to let her get stuff on my card. She’d get twice as much for beauty products as food. To add injury to insult, the beauty products didn’t help that much.

Ann is lying through her teeth. She has set Tiff and her dad against each other and now she’s trying to play Tiffany just as she’s played her dad! She wants distance between them so she can dig her hooks in and symphony off all the money. The question is is Tiffany dumb enough to allow herself to be manipulated like this? Tiffany needs to start having more direct communication with her Dad without Ann around. She also needs to be preparing for her own exodus if necessary from this very dysfunctional situation.

Ann’s cutting up the credit card was drastic. On the other hand, it may be time for our girl Tiff to stop shaking the Money Tree quite so vigorously. By the way, it appears that Ann must be planning to buy dinner. I still don’t like or trust Ann but it may just be an opportunity for Tiff to OWN her life and choices. OMG, I’m obsessing over a comic strip.

Tiffany can apply for financial aid and get a student loan like everyone else. And an on-campus job. And take on a roommate.

I can’t believe how many people (above) are worried about Tom getting fleeced by Ann – he appears to be a rotten father, who, although providing generously financially, doesn’t communicate with his daughter or give her any emotional support – he deserves everything that his future with Ann will provide…

Still hate this story line, now more than ever. The dad is made to look like a clueless fool.He has the gold digger run his life and control his daughter. Stop just stop…there has to be more happier and more fun things to write about in the world. Dallas reruns aren’t it.

Here’s a new idea! See, Ann Eiffel takes on Tiffany Farrell as a project. First she “takes up with” her father, Tom. Then she strips Tiffany of her dignity, ruins her love life and then something more; maybe like forcing her to take a smiley selfie with Ann, indicating friendship. Then, after that, you’d need to escalate. Oh, I don’t know. Maybe stripping Tiffany financially. Then Ann can make her do some more humiliating stuff like dropping out of school. Financially ruined, Tiff can change her name to Zye and take up streetwalking and then drink hemlock.

Yeah! Greg hasn’t done any of that for a while.

For once Ann is right.

Look at the first statement from Ann: “Tiffany, Your dad would never tell you, but he’s having money issues.” TRANSLATION: “Tiffany DON’T bother asking your dad! I’ll take care of it.” (uhhhh, yeah)…

Then the next statement from Ann: “You need to cut your spending.” TRANSLATION: “I’M the one who will be controlling YOUR finances from here on!” (again – uhhhh, yeah)…

While were at it, Ann may as well ask Tom, “Oh, Tom? Now, with ‘our’ new arrangement, you’ll be making some itty-bitty changes to that little will of yours, right?” ……

“Gee, Ann, if Dad is having money troubles than maybe you need to cut way back on your own spending too, since you’re going to have to be incurring so many legal expenses to stay out of jail now that I’ve reported your lingerie fraud to the police. They should be here to arrest you any minute now.” See how easily this problem could be solved?

Been there, seen that. Exactly what happened to my half sister when dad’s third wife, my second step-mother, decided enough was enough. The running joke at my half sister’s college was she would have to take a pay cut if she finally graduated and got a job. Ann and the step-mother are quite similar.

$10,000 and a plane ticket and Tiffanys problem disappears.

Uhhhh, yeah… ;-) Tom’s so gullible…unless he’s just like her. Hmm…

Getting boring

aside from the makeup and spa everything Ann listed were necessities and living expenses, while everything Tiffany listed was frivolous luxury crap.

EIFFEL needs Tiff to cut back because every dollar to Tiff is one less to her. I REALLY wanna see her get hers…

I wonder if Tiffany will have a car to drive after lunch. Ann may have had it repossessed during lunch. I hope Tiff has another credit card or she won’t be able to pay for anything.

Ann is really hitting her stride in being obnoxious, hateful, and mean today. Various sundry thoughts I have about today’s events:

1. I think Ann is just spouting b*ll*h*t here. I doubt that Tom “Cat” Ferrell is in any real financial trouble.

2. If, however, Tom “Cat” Ferrell is in financial trouble, I am sure that Ann is at least “significantly” to blame.

3. $317 for makeup in a month is pretty horrific, I will grant you that.

4. The real problem here is not Ann , however…. the real problem is much more long-standing than the period of cohabitation between Tom “Cat” and Ann. This problem is a problem of communication between parent and child. With only one parent apparently in the picture, Tom “Cat” is it for Tiffany (as far as we know). And, the communication between Tiffany and Tom “Cat” has never been shown to be more than cursory. However, when Ann came into the picture, the cursory interaction became even more minuscule.

5. Tiffany probably has no real understanding of a healthy father-daughter relationship, so she is to a large extent stymied here.

6. I find Ann’s heart necklace obnoxious and annoying on her. So, I guess it is successful in helping to accurately shape my feelings about her as a character. I wonder if Tom “Cat” actually bought it for her (less likely) or if Ann bought it for herself using Tom “Cat” ’s money (most likely)…. just to annoy the hell out of Tiffany?

Tiffany has always been a shallow fool, while Ann is evil. But Ann is right if Tiffany really spent $317 on makeup in one month. And if Tiffany doesn’t know she spent that much ( easy enough for her to verify) , that just proves again that Ann is right.

This is going to be a long, painful and not the least bit entertaining thread if it’s going to be about Tif and Ann bickering about money. Move along….

Those little red flags to the side of the comments mean nothing. People call other people names and make derogatory remarks about other people. If they are flagged, nothing happens. It’s been like that for years.

It could be a great opportunity for Tiffany to change this bad part of her character. But it’s sad that it happens because of Ann’s blackmail.

I know this is a bit dark, but I think Ann is overdue for an “accidental” permanent exit.

tiff has a point, if money is short why order something OTT (and a steak for lunch?) i think this is anne trying to say "see i’ve got tiff to be reasonable, aren’t i wonderful dear.?

Her father is an even worse person than I thought, if he actually asked Ann to have this talk rather than having the courage to do it himself. But perhaps Ann is completely contriving this for her own benefit. I hope it’s the latter because if it’s the former one must have great sympathy for Tiffany.

Tiffany and Crystal could make a fortune running an escort service for millionaire senior citizens who like attractive company when they attend stockholders’ meetings. Then they could write off makeup as business expenses.

Tiffany, Your Spending has been cutting into Ann Awful’s spending …

Time for Tiffany to start pulling her weight and pull away for daddy. She does that and maybe he will wake up.

I’m disappointed that Tiffany is allowing Ann to be a source of information about her dad, that she is sitting and listening to what Ann has to say. Hasn’t Tiff learned anything about Ann from previous experience?

Well, I sure do NOT trust Ann, but I can see several possible helpful outcomes for Tiffany.

1. If she had to start keeping a budget book and understanding where she spends money she could wind up in a situation where she has power over money. Currently, money has power over her.

2. Her relationship with her father is based around money. That is NOT a healthy relationship footing. They both need to learn the other as human beings.

Now, here are some things I hope:

1. The two items above.

2. That it turns out the that money was (Yes, past tense, at least mostly.) Tiffany’s through a Trust and that her father’s ability to manage it goes away with remarriage.

3. That Tiffany’s lawyers use some of what remains to sell the large home and repossess items that Ann has which are in Tom’s name, so that the two of them have some capital to restart their lives as modest middle class, at which point we get the fun of seeing people first learning skills most of us have had to use pretty much forever.

4. That Ann runs with what is not hers (and is caught)

5. and you can think forward from there…

I do hope you’re plotting Ann’s downfall, Mr. Evans.

$317 a month? Uhhh, that’s nothing. The Trump inauguration spent $500 per person for a few days of makeup.

Call me old fashioned but I think a woman should marry a girl’s father before she starts acting the evil step-mother.

Either Tom Farrell has really fallen on Hard Times, and can’t afford Annie Awful’s Lifestyle), or Annie is a liar (What, Annie Awful, a liar?! Perish forfend!). If Tommy-boy can afford Ann, he can afford his daughter, Tiffany!
