Why I never take naps..

I never could take naps. Even in kindergarten, I’d literally just lay there on my mat staring at the ceiling. I was a born insomniac; my mom often tells me I’d always start kicking around in the womb during the evening after being quiet and dormant all day.

Probably best to take a nap in your bedroom if you don’t want to be disturbed.

This is almost like the jigsaw puzzle arc.. nobody leaves Nancy in peace.

So new arc tomorrow or still more Tiff and Stef drama??

IMO, this strip would be better if Luann (or Bernice) took a photo of Nancy napping with Puddles sleeping on her, then posted it on Facebook.

Distractions for Nancy?

Memo to Nancy: Kill Family, then take nap.

Home. Still better than the angst of the college dorm.

The seventh panel of today’s strip was somehow left off. It shows Nancy checking into a Motel-6.

Nancy doesn’t realize couch naps are accidental when you have a family and pets. If you want to take a planned nap, you need to visit your dreams on your own pillow in the bedroom.

Shouldn’t Lou have said; Mom should take a nap. She’s grumpy"?

She should try her own bed, with the door closed, and locked.

Luann’s back. She needs to appear more often like she did before.This is her comic, after all.

Can’t a gal get a decent amount of shuteye these days?

Want to be undisturbed – nap in the bedroom and lock the door with a DO NOT DISTURB sign on the door on in the bathtub with with nioce warm water and bubble bath, with the vent fan going and the door locked.

“Ash” is Walt’s code name for Ann❤️Eiffel. He’s setting up a Shoog Daddy hook up. Won’t he be surprised when he gets to the motel and finds Sexy❤️LuAnn in her Dolly Parton costume and… Hawt Nancy the Cougar!! Hubba Hubba, boy howdy!

She wouldn’t be grumpy if she were actually allowed to take the nap!

I know the feeling… except the phone thing. :L

Sometimes naps go very quickly.

Poor Nancy. It’s amazing how everything happens at once just when you want to rest.

I used to try to sleep after pulling graveyard shift but never got rested. Would “wake up” more tired than when I got to “sleep”. I found it was just better to skip it and wait until I went on my three day break. My mother was a nurse who worked night shifts until she retired so I know how she felt.

Nancy has a busy household today. Luann is home, Frank is home, Bernice is probably around and the dog is there – WHY would she lay down on the couch in the middle of the house to take a nap?? I don’t get it.

Nancy could have trained her family to NOT do any of that when she is taking a nap. Even the dog can be trained to be quiet for 30 minutes.

Who might have guessed that trying to nap on the sofa surrounded by animals and people instead of behind a closed bedroom door might lead to being disturbed.

And there you have it………nap in the bedroom!

So much for that nap.

Today is the perfect visual definition of the trope known as the Idiot Plot: a setup where everything would be immediately resolved if everyone involved weren’t acting like idiots.

I predict that in five years this will have gradually progressed to Nancy finally blowing her fuse! Maybe she’ll go backpacking in Europe.

And the family will wonder later today why there’s no dinner on the table.

The righteous have no respect.

That seems to happen to me any time I try to nap the last 5 years, at least. I live in a really quiet area. Sometimes there will be no activity in or around the house all day. But the moment I try to nap, someone is screaming outside my window, or banging pots together down the hallway.

In five more minutes she’ll have to get up to pee. She should go nap in the car.
