When I was a kid, we had nightmare neighbors. Domestic violence, stealing, vandalism, police coming all the time. The day they moved, all the neighbors put out their American flag like it was a holiday.
After several years, we are tired of the incessant political humor/castigating on late night talk show monologues, so we decided to try watching Jimmy Fallon again. Surprised that he still does his thank you notes routine.
Used to have a neighbor who’s cat would mark our front door, which would then stink up the whole house. When we complained about it, somehow it was our fault. Thank GOODNESS they moved…far far away!
We had the cranky lady across the street who hated children. She would call the cops if we were playing in the street in front of our house, which was also in front of hers. The guys around the corner were tossing a football around and when it landed under her bedroom window, she reported a peeping Tom. An adult was playing catch with his daughter and she confiscated the ball when it went into her yard. On top of all that, her cat thought our sandbox was a litter box. I don’t know who was happier when she moved, the neighbors or the police who had to respond to every nuisance call.
And as Jesus said, “f*** thy neighbor…hard!” Dan aka the biggest basilbruce fan in existence, who, by SHEER coincidence, is NOT his, or anyone’s, stalker!!!!!
Reminds me of the time the neighbor across the street came over to my next door neighbor who was moving and said, “Thank you for moving, you b%STard!” The neighbor who was moving caused trouble for everyone living near him. I doubt he was missed.
I noticed that this strip was posted 2 days after Scott Adams’s strip removed. I like to believe that Rat was writing this to his newspaper comic strip ‘neighbor’ Dilbert. Strips can be edited, printed and distributed within a couple days now. Thank you Mr Pastis. Regardless of how this strip came actually about in your mind, I’ll always remember it this way.
I noticed that this strip was posted 2 days after Scott Adams’s strip was removed. Despite it being addressed to “Bob”, I like to think that Rat was writing this so-called “Thank you” to his newspaper comic strip ex-‘neighbor’ Dilbert. Syndicated comic strips can be edited, printed and distributed within a couple of days now. Dear Mr Pastis: Regardless of how this PB4S strip actually came about in your mind, I’ll always remember it this way. Thank you.

He’s feeling much better now about not bringing back Rat’s stuff.
